To Whom It May Concern:
I had dinner at the MisoHappy restaurant on 12/19/2019. One or two weeks later, I found out that the restaurant charged me additional tip on my credit card without my authorization. Good thing I kept the receipt.
I called the restaurant on 12/30/2019, but the owner wasn't there. Also, the employee who answered my call wasn't kind or helpful. I left my name and phone number, and the employee said she will contact the owner of the restaurant right now. However, the owner of the restaurant didn't even call me back at that day. Next day, I called the restaurant around 11am on 12/31/2019 again and spoke with the owner. However, she told me that she is busy and hung up on me before I finish talking. If she apologized or refund the money, I was not going to write a complaint letter about the restaurant.
The total check already included the 20% service charges, so I signed the check as it was. Then, I found out that the restaurant charged me additional tip more on my credit card without my authorization.
Terrible customer services from the restaurant owner and staff. They overcharged me without my authorization, but the owner of the restaurant didn't apologize or refund the money.
Please investigate this issue if the restaurant overcharged me intentionally without my authorization.

We strongly disagree with this complaint. The gratuity was added onto this check automatically and is stated on the guest check "Gratuity is included". The guest probably did not see it and added $3.00. The server did not write in the additional gratuity the guest did. When the restaurant was contacted by the guest the guest was asked to simply return to the restaurant to receive the $3.00.

I don't agree with the business owner's response. I didn't write $3 on the check since there was service charge ($9.97) so I crossed out the tip on the check. I still have the original receipt.
Please ask the business owner to proof that I wrote $3 on the check and provide the original check to Revdex.com.
Since the business owner is willing to pay $3 back to me, please ask the business owner to donate $3 (write a check) to the Revdex.com. Please don't close this case until Revdex.com receives the donation($3) from the business.
Also, please post my review to the public and give the restaurant the worst score since the business owner is lying that I wrote $3 on the check.
I appreciate your help.

Please see the attached original receipt.
On the original receipt, there is a service charge $9.97 without my authorization. However, I signed the check without tips since I went there for a vacation. The total amount of the check is $63.56 with my authorization. However, the restaurant charged me $66.56 on my credit card.
Please ask the restaurant owner to give $3 credit back to my credit card account if she doesn't want to donate $3 to Revdex.com.
If the restaurant owner doesn't respond your call or email, please make this case unresolved and give the restaurant bad review score.
