Miss Bella's Boutique Reviews (2)

I am rejecting this response because: I did NOT take the swing from your store. It was noted to be damaged BEFORE I left the store at which time I was told that I purchased it and all sales were final.
I was very happy with the swing as it was the same brand and type of swing that had been registered for- and I told you that.  I wish you would stop saying, "in your price range." I didn't have a price range. I just happened to find a nice-looking swing of the same brand and type that had been registered for. I did not have a price range. Obviously I ended up spending double of what that swing cost by purchasing a new one- without instructions or box- in your store. I think the "in your price range" is a moot point. An "in your price range" doesn't mean an unsafe and broken swing.
The ONLY other swing available that didn't look extremely used was the brand new one that I ended up purchasing because there were no other options. You told me you would find a replacement swing- you sent me a text stating that you would find the one I had purchased. You didn't do that.  You said you would refund my money- you didn't do that either. You didn't give me any options except to take the broken swing or purchase another in your store. There were no other options- I HAD to purchase something that wasn't going to be a danger to a baby.
I do not think you knew the swing was broken when you sold it to me, however you did not make good on your word of the SAME replacement swing or a refund- both of which you assured me would be easy to do.

Review: I dropped off a large amount of girls' clothes to the boutique in January 2013. After numerous attempts to contact [redacted] via text (which I have record of) and phone call, I have not received the money for my clothing.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I would like for her to pay me fair market value for the clothing that I dropped off to her store.

Business' Initial Response

Contact Name and Title: [redacted]/ Owner

Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Contact Email: [redacted]@rocketmail.com

It has never been Miss [redacted]'s policy to mail checks or money for items. Miss [redacted] has been contacted on many attempts to come get her items and her money. "Hey [redacted] every time I try to come to the store it is after hours Is there a way to mail me a check I'm to swamped at work" This is a text I received from Miss [redacted] March 12 th. many attempts have been made to contact her since Jan 2013 when she dropped off her items I went ahead and mailed a check to her on March 26th check number 1509 and then on May 22nd she called and said she never got a check. I have tried many times to have her come get her items and her money and ended up donating the unwanted items, I have told her on many occasions she can pick up cash at any time, or I would re issue a check again and heard nothing again until June 12th 2013. Miss [redacted] is able to come pick up her money on any day during business hours. Unfortunate situation and I am sorry for her in convenience and her bad feelings but it is the customers responsibility to come get there items and monies due.

Consumer's Final Response

[redacted] grossly underpaid me for my items.

[redacted] paid me $140 for 109 items (including dresses, shirts, skirts worth well over $20/each), 16 tights, 13 socks, and shoes. I asked for $400. I have texts from [redacted] stating "Well you have nicer stuff lol" and she also stated on the phone that the items I brought in were worth "more than what's in her closet at home". I believe that [redacted] needs to be pay me fair market value for the items I brought to her.[redacted] should pay me $260 additional money which would total the $400 I originally asked for.

Business' Final Response

I am sorry but we are a used baby store and unfortunately the customer does not get back the full retail price of what was originally paid. The customer also does not set the price . Miss [redacted] had many opportunities to come pick up all of her items and not take any monies from me, she also had her sister in law pick up some of the unwanted items but left some boxes because there was no room in there car for it all so she had a chance to see what was taken. If she feels it is a unfair price I am more than willing to return all of her items back to her. We sell tights for $1 and used shoes for $5 and sock for .55 and clothes range from 2.00 - 6.00...Miss [redacted] is asking me to pay her 4.00 per item and that is not possible . Miss [redacted] did have nice kids clothes but we are a used baby store and only pay out a certain % based on what we sell it for. I have held onto these items for months and will box them up and have them ready for Miss [redacted] to pick up by 8/15/13 so she can have her items back and not worry about being paid unfairly. If these items are not picked up by the above date I will assume she is ok with the check amount and I will sell the items.
