Miss Normas Amigo Ames Preschool & Daycare Reviews (1)

Review: My daughter started Preschool at amigo ames at $100.00 a week on 9/2/2014 and on 9/5/2014 the owner of the school told me that she can no longer continue to go there due to the fact that she came home with a bruise on her arm, scrapped feet and a red rash on her hip, because I called to ask what happened to her on that friday. My mother picks my daughter up on that friday my daughter was napping so when she wakes up she starts to cry histerically showing my mom her knee arm and side the staff interupts her by asking for payment which I had already called and said that I would drop it off after work. So my mom gets home calls me and explains to me whats going on my daughter continues to cry does not wish to speak about what happened and just looks frightened. So I call the school and proceeded to tell them to please not ask anyone who picks up my child from school for payment that My husband and I are the ones responsibles for paying ok that was done with so I proceeded to inquire about my daughters injuries I just wanted to know what happened because thay did not call me to inform me that my daughter had been hurt so they tell me that they did not know but was going to get the teacher to call me back. 5 minutes later I get a call from the owner saying that my daughter and I were problems and that she can no longer continue to go to his school.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for that week plus the 4 shirts that were purchased for her to attend that school which they wrongfully dismissed her.total amount $180.00

Business

Response:

Aimgo Ames Pre School and Daycare has be in business for 43yrs, founded in 1971. Since then thousands of children have passed through our doors with the facility being at full capacity each year with a waiting list as is the case this year.. We operate under the states strick guide lines with no deficiencies found in any of their audits. Amigo Ame has never had any complaints filed against us that has EVER been found to have any substance. We handle three and four year old children an initiated the pre-K program. At any time we may have as many as seventy children on premises and consider each one to be part of our family and treat them as if they were our own. The complainant was a mother that we could not please not matter what we did. She wanted her teacher to call her several times a day to let her know how her daughter was doing which is not possible without taking her attention away from the other children in the class. Complainant was advised she could call us as often as she wanted to check on the child. We also received complaints from her during the week her child was here that we would not fed her child lunch. Additionally, the mother stated that her daughter would wake up at nights screaming as a result of coming to school. On the Friday in question, he children were in the back yard second lining and dancing prior the Saints game when several teacher witness the child fall to her knees scraping one of her knees. As usual procedure, the child was brought into the medical area and administered first aid for the minor scrape. Following state mandates, a uniform incident report, furnished by the state, was prepared and the mother was attempted to be contacted about the scrape, but was unable to be reached at the time.. Due to the minor nature of the injury, the emergency contact number was not called. I was made aware of the situation as per my instructions to the staff. The child left at nap time, via the grandmother at which time the afternoon worker reminded the grandmother to tell the mother that the Daycare fee had not been paid for the weeks services and that they needed to pay to avoid the late fee. Shortly thereafter, the lead teacher who witnessed the incident and has been with us for fifteen years, came to me and told me that the complainant had called her and demanded to know how her child received bruises on her legs ,arms ,hip and back. I instructed the teacher to have the mother bring the child back to the school so I personally could see this. While going back into the center, the evening worker was upset and told me that the mother called harshly told her she had no right asking her mother about the nursery fee that it was very unprofessional of her to do so.. We remind all of our students on a Friday who have not paid the weeks fee about the late charge, when not paid.. I then called the child’s mother and informed her that it was apparent she was not satisfied with her child’s care given by Amigo Ames and that she should fine another care giver which would satisfy her. We never did see the “SO CALLED” injuries on the child that she said she sustained on our premises.. Complainant Purchased four uniform shirts at a cost to her of $10.00 per shirt, total $40.00 and did pay the $100.00 for the week her child attended Amigo Ames.

Regards,

Amigo Ames is making false acusations towards me,

First of all I never required her teacher to call me several times a day to see how my daughter was doing this is false I also never accused them of not feeding my child I simply asked if she ate one day because she was a picky eater not the fact that they did not feed her.(Which now makes me question that part). For the part where my child fell at first I was told that there was one witness now out of no where everyone happened to witness it. What about the bruise on my daughters arm, you do not get a bruise from falling and NO Amigo ames did not call me stating to bring my child back on the contrary the owner calls me screaming saying that my daughter has been dropped from preschool because we were problems for him!!! I was never called for my daughters injury the teacher only left a note about her falling I have taken pictures I will upload them along with the teachers letter. I also never ever once told them that my child would wake up screaming saying that she did not want to go to school, Really I dropped her off it took me no more than 2 minutes for me to do so because I have to be at work at a certain time I do not have time to tell a day care facility about my childs dreams this is so uncalled for I will make sure to print this and post it along with the other negative reviews about this place this is ridiculous I demand a full refund!!!
