Dear Sir or Madame, We are receipt of the complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  Attached is the original invoice dated 03/09/2017. Mr [redacted] contacted us on or about August 17, 2017 stating that he was in the Mammoth area and had a problem with his vehicle.  He suggested that it was the...

wheel bearing.  We check our records and informed him that had had done the wheel bearing, however  our notes showed both sides where leaking and the final invoice was not clear which one we replaced (he was told it would be very clear once we saw the vehicle again because bolts were replaced and spot welded). Sometime during the conversations he suggested the vehicle be towed back to Mission Auto Service.  We were not willing to pay a $800-1,000 tow bill for a $300.00 repair. Upon his return, we inspected the vehicle on August 19, 2017.  We acknowledged that the work we did was on the side at issue.  The said bearing was supplied by and pressed by an independent machine shop who also did the welds.  The machine declined to participate in any settlement because the vehicle was lifted and had over sized tires (they believed a significant contributing factor). We offered Mr [redacted] to   refund his payment, less the work for other items (parking brake,, bolts, and weld), or $257.15.  We took his credit card number to process the refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Business stated in their response, "We took his credit card number to process the refund".  This is true that I did give them my credit card information and they told me they would issue me a refund.  However, this refund was never processed on my end. The day after they made this statement, I was contacted via phone by the Owner Rob.  He was upset due to a bad review that I left on [redacted].com and refused to issue me a refund until I removed the review from their site.  He also threatened me with legal actions if I didn't comply with his request.  I contacted [redacted].com and they reviewed my review and there was nothing worthy of legal action and they assured me that the review I left was not out of line or considered deformation of character.  I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A REFUND AS STATED BY THE BUSINESS OWNER.  THIS IS WHAT I WAS PROMISED.  Otherwise, I will likely need to pursue legal actions for breach of warranty.  Thank you.
