RE: Jim Schlesinger, Owner, Mission Center Realty Jim Schlesinger began managing a 2-unit property for me about years ago Since I am a senior and inexperienced in property management , I trusted MrSchlesinger to do his job Recently, I needed information regarding the tenants in the units I realized that I DID NOT have copies of any of the Leases or the Tenants’ applications, and thus, no way to contact my Tenants I called the Mission Center Realty Office, MrSchlesinger’s Company, to get the information and copies of the leases But the office associate, who knew me, called him before agreeing to send me anything A couple of minutes later I received a phone call from MrSchlesingerHe evaded my requests and when I stopped him and tried to get back to what I wanted , copies of the leases and applications, the conversation turned unpleasantSomething I said resulted in his using an angry tone and he started yelling at me, ending with, “You’ll be sorry very sorry” I felt I was being threatened And then he suddenly shouted,” In fact, I’m terminating our contract right now!” and he hung up I‘m still not clear what caused his angry outburst I received his cancellation by email two days later After that, his behavior was even more unprofessional He took his fee for the month as soon as the Tenants’ rent was deposited And he continued to stonewall my efforts to obtain the information I should have had all along According to the tenants, He ignored them all month, refusing to send a blank application to one tenant She states that she lost a potential roommate who was ready to move in at the end of the month He also did not collect the tenants’ portions of the water and utility bills or pay the utility bills which was part of his property management contract When I asked him if he did, he said “Yes” He constantly changed directions as to how I was to obtain the documents, deposits and keys When he said to pick up the leases, nothing was ready to be picked up, but he emailed them days after my request The same happened regarding the deposit funds and keysI was told to pick them up at his office, but then changed to “they will be mailed to you at the end of the month” I never got copies of the Tenant Applications The month of no service, hassles and intimidation is finally over The San Diego Association of Realtors’ Ombudsman called his behavior unprofessional and unethical I will let the Revdex.com know about this, tooAfter this very disturbing experience, I cannot recommend him as a property manager or being involved with him in any way

I have been a client of Mission Center Properties for years as Jim S*** ably managed my San Diego rental
Always attentive to re renting , maintenance and property management and accounting I was completely comfortable as an absentee owner with all aspects and decisions we made
In I decided to put my property on the market with Jim representing me
We were successful in obtaining a sell price above the listing and again Jim provided excellent advice to consummating the close
I do not hesitate in giving him and his company the highest recommendation

Jim and Mission Center Realty have managed my property for years and I can't believe how smoothly its goneHe does a great job picking the tenants and keeping documentation for end of year tax purposesHe definitely knows what he's doing!

Jim is amazing! If you are interested or need a property management company use Mission Center Realty He is so professional with our rentals and our tenants With his great accounting system we are able to get fast reports to our CPA His rates are great, he is easy to get a hold of and if there is any issues he is there from start to finish to help us along We have properties that he has been managing for over years He has helped us sell some of our properties too Bottom line if you need a great property manager or a real estate agent, Jim is the man to call!

Jim will do anything and everything he can to ensure he keeps your entire security deposit. He lies about the condition of the home. If you find a descrepancy with the property ensure you notify him about it through email or text message that way you have proof, because once it comes time to move out he will act like he doesn't remember anything about it and charge you for it.
