Back on March 10,I had my daughters sweet at Mission Event Center I had contacted *** who is the *** for eventsFor several months we had worked with Ms.*** on planning this event we were told that the DJ played all types of music and we can submit songs so that the DJ knew what kind of music we wantedWe submitted two messages with songs one was the songs for march for court granparents dances and mother and father dances.The other list was of songs that my daughter would have liked to play to dance with her friendsThe day of my daughters event we were told that no one would be allowed to go into hall until mins priorWhen we arrived I had several family and friend that began helping to take things out of our vehichle .Ms *** was not around at the time another lady who works at hall began raising her voice saying only people allowed everyone else out.I addressed the ac with the lady there cause it seamed very warm inside the hall the lady stated that

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, On the day we first went in to the event center Ms.*** and my Boyfriend were talking at the time turnes out that she was a good friend of his cousin talking about that night *** then dropped the price of what it should have been yes I did ask if she would work with us on payments or even possibly dropping tge price more cause I had lost my job but in the end she worked with on payments also the day before the event we did go I messaged her and told her we would be there after the practice at the church witch we did go we helped set up a few tables that still needed covers I remeber that night cause we moved a basket full of table clothes to her truck I habe the text message on the day before when I text her to tell her we were on way and when we were outside because the door was closed Im not sure how to upload it I am not asking for 1000s back im asking for the coverage of security whitch wasnt a acctual security for the cake that melted due to the ac .I dont know how they can say that one of our guest moved the thermostat when we showed up it was already hot

Please allow me to give yousome history of the night of this situation that occurred at *** *** *** *** *** ***.My name is *** *** and when we went into contract with *** *** Ms*** informed me that she was ona limited budget but wanted to have an nice event for her daughter.Whereas a event with the hall, all the linens, decorations, food and music for gusts for this amount of people isabout $7,However, this was not even close to what she said she could afford, but to work with her because she wasa single motherI tried to accommodate her needs If you are unaware of this type business, there is a lot of expensesand labor to put on a complete event of this magnitudeIt is a very big undertakingThe hall rental, food (brisket), preptime for food, cake, table cloths, decorative runners, chair covers, bows, Dj set up/music a complete clean up (and trashdeposal) is very costly and time consumingFive thousand dollars is a lot of money, but the cost to put up an event suchas this, to feed all guests and decorate every table and chairs is a big undertakingMs*** was given a very goodpriceTheir is much labor involved to cover every chair/tye bows for every chairI agreed to work with their budget at$5,Under the conditions she would come the night before to help with the prepShe agreed to help set up and prep,but as it turned out, she did not come help the day beforePlease allow me to give you some history.*** *** initially wanted the event for March and she went over a couple different datesAt one point, shewas not able to fulfill her commitment of the contractInstead of Ms*** losing her money, I allowed them to post ponethe date and have their event a year later March 10, Instead of only her losing her deposit and monies paid todate, I took the loss for the first night they reserved(There are limited Saturdays in a given month that allow me to runmy businessI took the loss in 2017and gave them another night for their event).The hall rules are to limit the people coming into the event hall prior to minutes before the event because of distractionsof in and out that families bring hours before an eventAs we finish putting up the last details of decorations and havingfamily members wondering around the facility, it creates a big distraction with people while the staff are still workingWehave learned this by experienceMs***’s family started trying to come in at 3:p.mMy staff stated the rues, theysaid they were not rude, but the relatives coming in did not agree with the restrictions, therefore, feeling the staff was rude.However, we still allowed Ms *** and three of her family members to come in the hall to set up a few personal things.( Not just everyone).Apparently once they came in, they wanted to cool the hall down quickly instead of letting it get to the desired temperature.In doing so, someone from their party had taken the thermostats down to the lowest temperatureOur air conditionershave never frozenThis has never happened beforeI called to get help to resolve the issueI tried to take care of theissue as fast as I could.The Dj that was part of the first contract one year prior was not the same house DJ., one year laterTherefore, Ms***came to visit and listen a couple of times to the music of our other events in which another Dj had become our house DJ.Being the fact she had visited a few times to hear the music and I saw them talk, I was not aware that she hadn’t put theirmusic line up together prior to the time of eventThe night before her event, she submitted her song request to me to givethe DjI gave it to Dj the next dayAt that point a few hours before the event, he did not have internet or time to downloadher requestHe did the best he could at that point.I actually went above and beyond the circumstancesAs some of their guests arrive late, they wanted the gueststo be served platesThe rules of the house are that after the food is served, those trays of food needs to be put awayThisrule is done in order for city sanitation rulesHowever since people were still trickling in late, they asked if they could keepthe food service openI accommodated that request and served the late arrivalsFYI: Because I gave her an extradiscount rate I depend on my snack bar to help with expenses, however, I still served her late guests instead of sellingthem snacks.I gave this family a very nice settingI will insert photos of Ms***’s eventI will also insert texts/correspondence ofMs*** asking for more types of discountsGiving her a big discount and also losing a Saturday night due to her notbeing able to perform as per the first contract, I can not afford to give her an additional monies since she was given adiscount upfront I have many people asking me to reduce the ratesThe majority of the monies charged, are just to takecare of actual costs of rent, food, labor and vendors I have to pay, for an event of this detail.In closing, I am sorry that Ms *** did not totally enjoy her eventI don’t know why the A.Cdid not perform as normal.It had never had that problem nor has it ever had that problem againI believe it was because the thermostat waschangedI am sorry the evening was not perfect for herAs you can tell with the pictures, I try to give our guests awonderful eveningI take pride in my guests enjoying their celebrationI am sorry that Ms***’s event started with abad vibe.Because of the big
