In response to the issues Mr. [redacted] has experienced with his KX450F motorcycle I feel that we need to clarify a few details. Firstly, this motorcycle is sold as a full competition unit only and is not street legal .  The manufacturer does not offer any sort of...

warranty at all on this unit. These machines are operated in demanding conditions and require constant servicing. Mr. [redacted] brought this unit to us for inspection stating he was experiencing  a loss of power.  He also sated he had just had the engine rebuilt by a 'friend' who after disassembling the engine,  had recommended modifications of a critical engine component.  After this was done with no improvement in performance, the motorcycle was taken to another non-franchise dealer for inspection. Further modifications were made, this time to the vehicle's electrical system, again without an improvement in performance. The motorcycle was only then brought in to us, the selling dealer, for inspection. I explained to Mr. [redacted] the steps required in diagnosing issues of this nature including the use of proprietary software available to Kawasaki dealers. He agreed to the diagnostic fee charged and our tech worked on the unit for well over 5 hours even substituting electrical components from brand new units on our showroom floor.  We concluded that the unit must have some internal engine issue perhaps as a result of the motor work previously performed. Mr. [redacted] was informed that the only option we could recommend was a partial engine tear down and rebuild including replacement of  the previoulsy modified components by a qualified repair facility such as ours. Mr. [redacted] chose not to have the recommended work done at our dealership and picked up the unit and was charged only what was previously agreed to.  Mr. [redacted] then returned the unit to us a short time later stating his friend had replaced the questionalble engine components and the unit was still defective.  After confirming that this work was again not performed by a kawasaki dealer,  I restated my position regarding repairs of this nature and had to turn the job down based on Mr. [redacted]'s reluctance to commit to the work we had previously recommended. We are still willing to assist Mr. [redacted] in any way should he decide to return the unit to us however,  our experience has shown that a methodical step-by-step process of elimination remains the only way to tackle problems of this nature.  [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint...

resolved.
As per your email I wish to update my case. Mission Motorsports has replaced my damaged motorcycle windshield with a new one, at no cost to me. The guys in  the Service Department headed by [redacted] did an excellent job. They were courteous, fast, professional and effective. I’m very happy with the outcome. I wish to thank you and the Revdex.com, along with Mission Motorsports in dealing with this p[redacted]lem, and dealing with the Honda company. I have CC’d Mission Motorsports Finance Department because it’s the only email address I have for Mission Motorsports. Hopefully, they will pass this along to the Management and to the Service Department. I’m very happy and wish to thank all of you involved. [redacted]2015 Honda Shadow Windscreen.      Regards,

Review: This issue is regarding a 2015 Kawasaki KX450F purchased brand new from Mission Motorsports on Dec. 8th 2014. I recently needed repairs on my motorcycle after 37 hours on motorcycle and brought it to Mission Motorsports for diagnosis on Aug. 8th 2015. After plenty of time spent on my motorcycle searching for the problem it was not found. I was charged $275.00 for their time spent searching. I was told I needed to replace my cylinder and head to return all engine parts back to OEM specificiations, to see if this was the issue. I was told by [redacted] that if I returned bike back to OEM specifications and the problem still occured that I could bring it back to them for further diagnosis, in which I did return the bike completely back to OEM specifications and problem with motorcycle still occured. I decided to return bike back to Mission Motorsports but was denied service by [redacted].Desired Settlement: [redacted] stated that my bike is "The Ugly Child no one wants" my motorcycle has been under repair for over 3 months now and I have spent close to $2000 trying to FIND this issue. Mission Motorsports is an authorized Kawasaki Dealership and service shop. I have sent my bike to a couple local very reputable shops and was recmommended by Kawasaki to take it to Mission Motorsports, and if need be Mission Motorsports can call Kawasaki directly to assist with any issues they cannot resolve. Desired outcome would be for Mission Motorsports to contact Kawasaki to assist in the repair of my motorcycle as I have done all I can to resolve this ongoing issue. Thank you

Review: I am writing to bring to your attention regarding a Victory Dealership that is advertising a 2013 Victory Judge using cycletrader.com. On the website the 2013 Victory judge is selling for 11,999.00 call for best price On Saturday November 16, 2013 I contacted the dealership (Mission Motorsports of Irvine) and spoke with [redacted] from the sales department. I informed him that I was interested in the 2013 Victory Judge and requested that he provide me a quote. 20 minutes later he contacted me at my residence stating that the bike would be $11,999.00 but with taxes, license, destination fees, set up fees, the out the door price would be $14,000.00 dollars. This price sounded to good to be true so I requested that he send me e-mail with the breakdown to the price of the bike. I then went on to the cycle trader website and requested that the dealership send me the quoted price via E-mail. I waited until Tuesday (November 19, 2013) to call [redacted] again requesting that he send me a quoted price via E-mail. He apologized and stated that he would send me the quote. My assumption was that this dealership would live up to the price that they quoted me so I took the time to complete a credit application. On Wednesday I received a call from a different sales person ([redacted]) informing me that my credit application was approved. I informed [redacted] that I was disappointed with the lack of service that I was receiving from [redacted] and if he could send me the quote. [redacted] informed me that he would relay the message for [redacted] to contact me. I finally received a phone call from [redacted] stating that he was in hot water for quoting me a price of $14,000.00 I then located an exact motorcycle (new 2013 Victory Judge red ) on motorcycle trader.com from a dealership by the name of Southern California Triumph-Ducati-Victory in Brea, CA and this dealership quoted me an out the door price of $15,600.00 dollars. Their base price was advertised at $13,999.00.This does not add up and I am highly disappointed that Mission Motorsports of Irvine is misleading consumers by advertising an up front lower price like $11,999 in order to switch and bate a higher cost at the end. Here are the comparisons from Cycletrader.com (November 21,2013)1.Irvine dealership price $11,999 with tax, license, destination fee, set up $15,800.002.Brea dealership price $13,999.00 with tax, license, destination fee, set up $15,600.00Desired Settlement: A never received price quote from the sales manager Provide in writing the advertised price $11,999.00 (as advertised on cycletrader.com) Sales tax for L.A. County $______Registration fee $______Destination dee $________Set up see $_______Documentation fee $______Out the door price $_________________

Response:

In response to the claim of Mission Motorsports for the above customer, it's seems that there is a mis-communication / understanding on the pricing of the said unit. From what data we have, it was that the customer offered the said number of $14,000.00 over the phone to our associate, this offer was not accepted, nor was is conveyed to the consumer that we could accept the offer.

Furthermore, the consumer called and left a message for our manager, we returned the call and our manager spoke in detail to the consumer about the pricing, and in detail about the "Swith and Bait", which did not happen. Upon the conversation, the consumer hung up and would have no part the conversation with our manager.

If the consumer would like any further conversation with our manager, we would be more than happy to assist and clarify details.

Thank you in advance,

Mission Motorsports
