Hello Sir,I apologize that you were not advised as to our policiesBoth our payment plan terms and our cancellation fee are listed in the Terms of Service you agreed to in January when you accepted the quote onlineWe are happy to offer the opportunity to pay over time for customers who prefer
that, but we cannot return any data before payment is made in full due to the high possibility of declined charges or payment blocks once the customer receives their data backHowever, due to the communication confusion, we will be issuing a refund today of the cancellation fee in the amount of $It may take several days for that to show up on your statement.Thank you,Marcus G***

After further investigation, we have found that the initial payment of $($for shipping and handling and $for the optional shipping insurance that was selected) was processed on Jan 11, at 12:09:PMThe two duplicate charges were created at Jan 11, at 12:40:PM and Jan 11, at 12:40:PMIf this was an error from our website or our payment processor, we sincerely apologize for thatFurthermore, as stated in the last response to this complaint, the refund for the duplicate transactions was processed as soon as it was brought to our attention with this complaintThe refund transaction ID's and time stamps are: *** *** *** *** ** *** PM, and *** *** *** *** at *** PMThese refunds could have been issued much sooner had it been brought to our attention by Mr***, however no communication (email or phone) has been received from himWhen we received the hard drive in question for evaluation, we found that the circuit board of the drive was failed, however do to the rarity of the part needed, none were available and Mr*** was informed of thisThere was never any promise of sending a new drive for $What we offer is a $repair service when it is possible to repair a failed hard drive, not a whole new driveThe hard drive in question is possible to repair, but the correct PCB is needed

We are very sorry for the inconvenience of the duplicate charges, these happen when you click the submit payment button more than once, refresh the confirmation page, or use the back button of your browser after making paymentWe will refund two of the three payments made for a total of $and we
respectfully request that we are contacted for resolution of a dispute before engaging any third parties

The complaint has been resolved with [redacted]. Since she was having troubles with the download of her recovered data, we simply transferred it to a new flash drive and shipped it to her at no cost. Please close this complaint as resolved with the client.

the original evaluation form that was sent in with the device, showing that Mr. [redacted] assumed responsibility for the drive. If the client wishes to pay for the service in full ($750) via the collection agency, we will provide them with the data recovered via download or on a transfer drive of the appropriate capacity. If the client wishes to cancel service at this point, the fee for that would be 30% ($225) of the total cost of recovery. If it is canceled we can either ship the original media out, or dispose of it securely. They did not refund my money. I had to dispute the charges directly with my bank. Only then did I get my money. I suggest they check their software, I never double clicked or triple clicked for those charges. Still did not address the false claims form the service rep. Why would they offer a $60.00 for a repair service or replacement and not do either. All I was offered is to have the company keep my $260 hard drive or pay for the return. (I was able to repair the hard drive myself for $46) Finally, the hidden fee of shipping. It cost $12 to return shipping with FedEx or USPS. Why did they charge $25 to ship my hard drive there? How can it be two different prices? What is the hidden fee? What is the extra $13 for? They said the diagnostics check is free.

[redacted]
