It's very rare that I give a 1-star review and I believe I'm a very reasonable person but these guys should NOT be in business.

I was looking for a reputable dive shop for my fiancee and two friends to do their Scuba certification and came across this place via their [redacted] ($169 for a theory and confined water scuba course with two additional custom pool dives for one). There were no meaningful reviews at the time so I decided to give them the benefit of doubt. Big big mistake.

They ended up charging us extra for all equipment even though it was supposed to be included in the cost (which they eventually agreed to partially refund). After the course was completed they demanded another $75 per person, a staggering 50% of the full cost, for the transcripts that we needed to be able to do the open water dives down in the Carribean (not stated anywhere on the [redacted] or their website).
Their business model: make it look like the customer is getting a good deal then drive them into a corner and bombard them with hidden fees. They treat you like trash and only care for your money. In the end we ended up paying more than what we'd pay had we gone with a reputable dive shop without any deal (e.g. http://www.[redacted].com/).

But unfortunately it's not only about money. This business is very disorganized and their training is mediocre at best. Todd, the instructor/owner, was very rude and totally complacent. When we went down South to do our open water dives with a very highly-rated dive shop we found out that we've been missing a lot of the necessary skills/knowledge and were actually not given all the necessary paperwork even after paying the $75 'transcript fee'.

When contacted they didn't respond to email and wouldn't offer us the custom pool dives as was part of the deal. The [redacted] stated "The theory and confined custom pool course options also include a $50 credit toward products from the dive shop for each person". After considering buying a dive shirt in the shop they refused to apply the $50 credit and insisted that it only applies to their snorkel packages (x2-x3 market price); no mention of this was made ANYWHERE on the [redacted].

Do yourself a favour and find a reputable dive shop [redacted].. STAY AWAY from this place!
