Had my truck washed at mister car wash. I have wide mirrors. The drier in the car wash caused damage to the outer cover. Scratches and abrasions.
Gong through the car wash in a new vehicle to me. Did not think about the side mirrors. The mirrors were not closed in and as I went through the wash the dryer blower at the end hit both mirrors. Causing scratches and abrasions to both. The passenger *** mirror was slammed against the truck causing the mirror to fall out breaking the wires off for the heated mirror. I was told to get an estimate to fix. Got an estimate from a body shop which said I would have to replace the mirror. Estimate was $700. I advised the representative I could replace both for $135 with aftermarket parts. I submitted proof. I then received a call they would just replace the passenger *** This would not repair the total damage caused. This is not acceptable to me.
Both mirrors were damaged by the dryer. I have purchased replacements for $135 for both. I just want to be reimbursed my actual expenses for the damage caused by this business.
The customer isn't providing accurate information. The mirror did not "slam" in as it passed *** blowers. The positioning of this equipment is done to certain specifications that would control any likelihood of this occurring. The passenger-side mirror did come out and brake as it hit the concrete, but we believe there was pre-existing conditions with that mirror. The blowers have high molecular weight plastic specifically so there is no potential for any issue. We have heavy volume and this has not been an issue on any other vehicle.

I was in the truck. The respondent was not. I would like to see proof that this did not occur as I described. The passenger *** did slam against the door this is what caused the mirror to pop out. I would like to see the photos of the pre-existing damage on my mirror. As I have photos fron the dealer where I purchased this vehicle 7 days prior that show there was no scraps and damage to either mirror. I don't appreciate being called a lier by someone who was not there. At this time I have replaced Both mirrors at my expense. I don't drive junk. I have a standard. That standard includes no longer visiting Mister Carwash with any of my vehicles. Here are a few of the photos that show the scuffing and broken wires. This Was caused by the drier blower attachments. these are wide towing mirros and Both sides were hit by this car wash machines. This was at the Ingersol Store.
