I want to start out saying in my almost years of running this business this is my first complaint to your agencyThe client in question came to me with other parents on a facebook specialThat special was for weeks of karate lessons for After about weeks I approached the subject
and his friends and inquired about their interest in our programThey said they liked it, and I offered them upon signing up for our regular program a discounted price of our monthly tuition minus the facebook amount because this particular class was filled upThey did not have to sign up but it was a offer I extended to themHe said he wasn't sure and had to talk to wifeI said okAbout a week later his wife left a message and asked me to call herI did, we spoke about the program, where she said it was too much money per monthI replied no problem, after the weeks your child's program will be completed...The following week, this subjects other friends were interested in the program so I spoke to themAt that time, the subject in question stated " no I want to sign up also." To my dismay I explained to him I spoke to his wife where she had told me it was too much moneyHe said I spoke to her and we are going to sign upSo I sat all parents down and went over in detail our membership including our day notice of cancellation and also our time per year $registration fee which none of them had a problem withThey understood and signed the formAfter only about weeks one of the parents had to cancel due to a hardship at homeWhen I decided to call this subject in question, about if it would effect them also, he stated: " You know I wanted to speak to you, I don't like you, I don't like the way you do business, You don't even look me in the eye"At this point I was totally confusedI called him to check the status and he starts to berate and threaten me over the phoneHe also states, " you know I took Martial Arts for over years, I don't like you at all"Wow, at this point I was totally in awe , not in the way he talked to me but his threatening manner in which I took it that he also trained," watch out"Now mind you, not his wife or him ever contacted me at all about cancelling, it wasn't till I called him on the night of November 16th did I find this outOn Saturday November 21st I received this letter from your agency about his complaintWhen I opened it I was in shockFirst, this has been the first complaint I ever received in years and thousands of students later, but the information he stated was completely falseHe is the one after my last contact to him to inquire about his status , that became belligerent and threatening and all of the sudden did not understand what he signed in OctoberFurthermore, I resent that he did not feel safe bringing his son to finish out the lessonsIn my years running the Pace Institute of Karate in Fairfield, I have never retaliated or made a child feel different because their parent had a difference of opinion with me or wanted to cancel their membership with usFor all the following reasons stated above, I would hope you dismiss his complaint against us and not negatively label the Pace Institute of Karate in ***Thanking you in advance........*** *** *** ***
