The finished product is nice but how you get there is not worth the headaches and the moneyThis company did remodel work at my place of employment so I thought I was going to save some money as Bob Mitchell will tell you " My work looks like high end quality but at a fraction of the cost"In the beginning I said "we should make out a contract" Bob Mitchell stated we "don't need to get lawyers involved writing contracts, this project is straight forward$8,will cover everything, I will be done in a week." The first day was Bob's most productive day- he worked a whole hours and had all the demolition work completed on day one MondayHe did state as he was leaving that "the floor removable was the most difficult he ever took out"I didn't pay much attention to the comment, but in hindsight I should have stopped the project at that moment knowing what I know nowDoing my homework since my work has been done; he did what he was supposed to do- get down to the subfloor removing the old mortarTuesdays he is off for babysitting his grandchildren which I think was cool in the beginning but not so much by the end of the jobSo no work on Tuesdays by this company of oneThis company has no associatesNeedless to say at the conclusion of week one on the job the cement boards and ceramic floor was completeThis project took weeks to complete and one day he mentioned he charges "$a hour for labor but he doesn't charge for the time he is not on the job"I said good as he make 2-trips a day to go to a hardware store or building center to get supplies he does not haveHe is one of the most disorganized people I have met in this professionHe will let you know that he has a cabinet maker and a place for you to go to select your granite and ceramic tileHe will also let you know he does not upcharge you on the materials but in hindsight he did just thatI know remodel work can be messy but Bob will not do anything to reduce the messWhen project was completed you will notice that you will have white primer paint in your rock garden, you may have to call Roto Rooter to unclog your laundry tub where he will clean his bucket of grout, etcWith two days remaining of work Bob says I have a bill for youI was seeing red once I saw what the amount was for- $11,Please learn from me- make sure you have a contract so you protect yourselfYou will spend hours of your own clean up and costs as he is messyHe will try and talk you into different designs and how to do things as he will tell you " I am an expert carpenter, plumber, electrician, painter and tile man"In hindsight do not have him do your painting or electrical workHe takes shortcuts which has you redoing the painting- and in our case getting a professional electrician as the two electrical outlets he put in shortedThe electrician we had to call said "whoever did your electrical work is not a pro"I no longer have respect for this person and he took off $after I questioned his hours that he claimed he workedI had paid him $5,in advance to his last day of work, his last parting words to me was that "I shorted him $ 23" as my final check was for another $5,bringing total payment to $11,Needless to say I spent $3,more than we thought we would for the work we imagined being doneIf you hire this company you were forewarnedOne final bit of information we purchased our own toilet and hardware for the vanity and doors that we purchased as we wanted to save timeKind of sad and funny at the same time, and I only have myself to blameBob took advantage of me and I was stupid enough to let it happenNever again!!! Description of work: Bathroom and foyer of split level home to be remodeledBathroom- removal of existing ceramic floor and half wall, new vanity installation along with toilet, and new tile walls and floor installationAlso- painting, two new six panel doors installed and painting of ceilingThe tub and surround not included in this project
