We have been dealing with this customer for some timeBased on all of the reports that we have and the tests that we have done, the meter is accurateThey are home some and possible more than is being indicatedIn a conversation with the customer she stated that she kept her air on while
they were gone, so it may not have been turned off at the breakerWe are currently in the process of generating reports to show the customer their usage on a daily basis and even an hourly basis since January We changed out their meter on 10/6/and the readings are consistent with the old meter indicating that their was not a problem with the meterWe have been out and done testing and energy auditsWe will continue to work with the customer to find areas that could be improvedWe adjusted the current bill in question back down for them

In July of 2014, we did meter testing and provided the customer with reports regarding their usage. At that time, our energy auditor contacted and spoke with customer concerning the usage and offered suggestions to help. As far as the statements that I made regarding the customer being home more than indicated came from information derived from the reports that were generated showing the daily and hourly usage. We have generated these reports and will welcome the opportunity to provide these reports to them or to meet with the customer to go over these reports. We have generated hourly usage reports from January 2015 as requested by Mrs. [redacted]. As I said, we will be glad to go over these reports and discuss with the customers. If it is determined that there was an error then we will do whatever is fair to come to a resolve.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Yes, EMC has been hearing our complaints for a while but this is the first time actually doing something about it. I would first like to address the statement from the gentlemen about being home more than indicated that is incorrect. I am a [redacted] Technician who travels and works on Power Plants, Duke Energy, Walter Bouldin Dam, Oil Refinery, many other industrial plants through out the USA and I maintain these plants for indivuals such as the gentlemen who made this false statement can keep their job. If it was not for people like me who travel all through the year and upkeep these plants  EMC would not be able to be provided Electricity to the citizens of the community.   I can provide proof of the dates I have been gone as well as statements of neighbors who have turned on my water heater and air the day that my family & myself have arrived home if I know I will be arriving late in the night. These are upstanding citizens in the Sylvester, GA that can provide this information as well so not just your average joe. As well as pay stubs and hotels that I have proof of staying out of state days, weeks, or months at a time with my family and pictures of dates we have left and arrived home on the picture stamps. The statement of turning the air on to 75 by my wife [redacted] was not the statement made. The statement was that the air would be set on 75 when we were home and return the gentlemen stated the air should be kept on 78.  Never have we left the air conditioner breaker on while we have been gone. I could provide statements from neighbours who can tell you that our air is never on while gone. The meter was changed out on the date stated and the gentlemen's statement of why was because of it showing low usage. I have as well wrote down the dates of being gone with everything off and unplugged including the AC/Heater and Water Heater. If need be I will gladly send my mother-in-law and father-in-law over so the gentlemen with EMC can view the inside and see that everything is unplugged and turned off in the home as well they can see the breaker box inside the house showing that the water heater is off and the AC/Heater package is off at the breaker as well. When did EMC come out and do testing and energy audits? I have neighbors who are home daily and watch over my home so I am alerted anytime someone enters my property. I will compare the dates of the reports after it is generatored to see if it matches the dates of my depature and arrival back to my residents and will go from there.
Regards,

We have been dealing with this customer for some time. Based on all of
the reports that we have and the tests that we have done, the meter is
accurate. They are home some and possible more than is being indicated.
In a conversation with the customer she stated that she kept her air
on 75 while they were gone, so it may not have been turned off at the
breaker. We are currently in the process of generating reports to show
the customer their usage on a daily basis and even an hourly basis since
January 1 2015. We changed out their meter on 10/6/2015 and the
readings are consistent with the old meter indicating that their was not
a problem with the meter. We have been out and done testing and energy
audits. We will continue to work with the customer to find areas that
could be improved. We adjusted the current bill in question back down
for them.
