Notices were sent by mail advising of the changes to the member’s checking account on 6/20/and 7/6/ Additionally an email was sent on 8/15/and a notice in the mail on 8/17/that the account may be subject to fees This information is also provided on our website We allowed a grace period in which the member could try the new checking product and cancel it within months to receive a refund of the monthly fees This is the reason only $was originally refunded As a courtesy we have refunded an additional $that the member was chargedRegarding the interest received, the amount you received was based on the balance that was in your account I have researched your account and found the interest received was correct

On 12/1/Clearview received a request to satisfy a Deed of Trust from *** * *** *** Keith P*** contacted them to see what this was in regards to and they advised that they were preparing the sale of the home and needed to have the lien releasedThey provided Keith a signed
authorization from Mr& Mr.’s *** to release info and requested a payoff of the account along with any IRS informationKeith provided a payoff to themOn 12/the member requested that we provide the original closing documentation to himThey discussed the possibly settling the accounts at that time but nothing further than thatKeith advised the member that in order to settle the account he would need to provide documentation supporting that there is a hardship, income information, equity status of the mortgages premises, current obligations, and a copy of the HUD-which the member never provided although numerous requests were placed to the member. On 12/21/Keith P*** received a phone call from Mr*** while at the real estate closing demanding that Clearview take a settlement at which time Keith told him that upon further review of the account a settlement will not be considered due to the positive equity in the homeTo be clear, this debt was a real estate Deed of Trust that the members Voluntarily agreed to prior to the debt being incurred; the debt was not unsecured and did not morph into a judgment against the debtors' real estate propertyThat being said, sale proceeds from the sale of the debtor's residence should be paid to valid mortgage lien holders before funds excess funds are paid to the mortgagorsOn 12/Clearview received a check via overnight mail paying off the loans in full

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The Low Activity fee went into effect on September 1, 2106. Multiple notices were sent to our members prior to the effective date. These notices were sent in the June 2016 statement as well as separate mailing. As a courtesy we are refunding the $
fee to the member

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In regard to the businesses response to auto loan, my argument was not the details they have writtenRather it was the details I originally wrote that I had the issue withFor example, again, I was told to submit additional pay stubs which I didAnd when I emailed them per loan officers request, they never followed up with me to finish processing the applicationThey knew I was new with my current company, that wasn’t an issue they saidThey just wanted more stubs which I sent over in a timely manner to the email address we had been communicating through, yet no response from themThen when I followed up myself “multiple times, they said the application was closed etcthough the requested information was sent in way before the time it took to closeThat is when the amount of unprofessionalism came into play due to their poor communication on their end, no documentation to my account when I called in and horrible treatment from the ones I spoke with.etcso much moreI’d be more than happy to obtain the actual dates, times, and email copies from my records for this matter?! Most importantly, let’s not forget the main reason here was to establish a better loan rateSo potentiallyI’ve lost outIn addition, even after I’ve reached out to higher up for help, they offered me nothing to fix or manage the situationNether on the application side or terrible customer service part of my complaints. The way they are not even accepting the least responsibility sickens meSimply because there were many things they could have done I’m sure, but didn’t even entertain at the time ofIt didn’t matter to them how many times I was transferred to superiors for assistance, didn’t matter what poor experience information I was repeating; complaints, voicemails I left, they all basically treated me the sameWith a “I don’t care attitude”“With a I can’t prove they treated you unprofessionally stance”, and no real concernAnd I know these individuals work closely together, and I am sure there have been prior complaints as well, but nothing gets nowhere because it goes nowhere further than the other defending ,covering up, shallow managements desk!

The credit union has not received proof of full insurance coverage
for Mr. [redacted]’s vehicle for the period of 3/3/14 to 4/27/14.  We have contacted [redacted] and our member’s
insurance agency in the past and the insurance information that they provided
to us began on 4/27/14.  The...

manager at
the insurance agent’s office sent a letter stating the member had coverage
beginning 3/3/14, but did not verify that the vehicle was fully covered with
liability and comprehensive insurance.  We
attempted to contact the agent to verifying full coverage, but have not
received a response.A copy of the vehicle policy information was emailed to the
credit union from [redacted] Insurance on 11/3/15 showing that the vehicle had
not been added to the loan until 4/27/14.We can issue a full refund for Mr. [redacted] when
documentation is received that the vehicle had full coverage from 3/3/14 to
4/27/14.

The member applied to refinance her vehicle loan on 3/2/17.  The loan officer contacted the member on 3/8/17.  The loan officer reviewed the verification of income that was provided with the member, as it was a job offer letter and the member had just started the job the week of the...

application.  The loan officer also discussed the loan to value of the vehicle being high at 140% and asked if she could pay down part of loan to get the loan to value lowered.  At which time the member asked to have the loan representative call her back and hung up on the loan officer. The member called in and spoke with a manager in the loan department on 3/9/17 about the loan officer questioning her income, she felt that she gave enough information to the loan representative and should not have to give anymore information.  The member was advised that the manager reviewed the loan and recommended denial due to the loan to value being too high and the income not being verifiable.  She was told that when she had more job time along with improved credit we would be able to reconsider the loan.As a courtesy the fees that were taken from the account were low activity fees.  These fees have been refunded to the member.  This fee will continue to be charged in the future unless there is a minimum of $200 in the account.

The letters that the member has received in the past were for dormant accounts with no activity.  The fee that is being charged is an inactive account fee for which letters are not sent to the member.  The credit union has a $2 monthly Inactive Account fee.  This fee is charged on...

accounts with aggregate account balances less than $200.00.  The fee is waived on accounts with balances less than $200 if there us an open loan/visa or a checking account t with at least one transaction per month tied to the same checking account number.   All rates and fees are subject to change. The fee schedule can be found on the credit union website Clearviewfcu.org.     The Inactive account fees have been refunded to the member, but future fees will still occur if the account remains in an inactive status as defined above.

Notices were sent by mail advising of the changes to the member’s checking account on 6/20/17 and 7/6/17.  Additionally an email was sent on 8/15/17 and a notice in the mail on 8/17/17 that the account may be subject to fees.    This information is also provided on our...

website.  We allowed a grace period in which the member could try the new checking product and cancel it within 3 months to receive a refund of the monthly fees.  This is the reason only $15 was originally refunded.  As a courtesy we have refunded an additional $25 that the member was charged. Regarding the interest received, the amount you received was based on the balance that was in your account.  I have researched your account and found the interest received was correct.

It is our practice to mail 12 months of payment coupons at a time.  Each year, another 12 months of coupons are automatically generated and mailed.  If a member runs out of coupons or misplaces them, we will gladly accept a check payment without a coupon.  The coupons are offered for...

our member’s convenience.    We do work with a third party vendor and per our agreement are unable to order coupons for the life of the loan.  For this member’s convenience, I have manually created payment slips for the life of the loan.  These will be mailed out to the member.   A savings account is required by Credit Union to become a member.  This member does not actually have a checking account with us, nor did we ever require this.  We do require a savings account with a minimum of $10 to establish Credit Union membership as only members are eligible for loans.  Clearview did credit the $10 to this account in order for the member to join and take advantage of our auto rate.
