Mitchell & Ness

Review: Mitchell & Ness ran a promotion on Friday, May 30th, in which they were offering select athletic uniforms for a discounted price of $100. In order to gain access to the discount, you either had to sign in to an existing account and update your information, or create a new account. I completed this step and made my selection, a 1983 Keith Hernandez authentic alternate jersey. I completed my order and it was processed accordingly.

On Sunday, I received an email stating that my order was cancelled because the item is out of stock. I was confused, because having shopped on the Mitchell & Ness website in the past, I know that they remove items or specific sizes of items as they become unavailable. At first, I thought nothing of this issue. I was a bit disappointed in Mitchell & Ness, but was willing to let it go. However, I did find it odd that I was not offered another item at the discounted price. As I thought more about the issue, I also fond it odd that the order would be cancelled altogether due to the item being out-of-stock. I thought a delay in shipment would have been more appropriate. I went back on to the Mitchell & Ness website on Sunday, and found that the jersey that I had ordered was still appearing as available on the site.

Later in the day, I found out that two of my friends had experienced the exact same issue. I told them to check to see if the items that they had ordered were still available on the site. As of this morning, each of the items in question are all still showing as available for purchase on the website.

I attempted to call Mitchell & Ness multiple times, but the line has been busy all day. I then attempted to email Mitchell & Ness, but the email was kicked back as undeliverable. I have now been sitting on their Live Chat option for over an hour without any assistance.Desired Settlement: I believe that Mitchell & Ness has offered a phony promotion in order to gain access to as many individuals' personal information as possible. If the item that I ordered is truly out-of-stock, then why would the order be cancelled? The only reason it should be cancelled is if Mitchell & Ness has no plans to offer the item in the future. If that is the case, then the item should be removed from the website. I believe that I am entitled to the item that I ordered, at the promotional price at which I ordered it. Thank you!
