This practice is by far the best in the area. From the front office, Melissa the office manager, the nurses, the technicians and of course the doctors….you will get professional, compassionate and quality care! My entire family and many friends have been happily referred. My husband and I have many unique health issues and we wouldn’t even think of going to another practice. Dr Whittaker is our personal doc, but the entire practice is amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Review: I called to schedule a yearly physical exam as a new patient and was scheduled one. I was informed that the first visit was to "meet the doctor"; this must be done before I could get an actual physical involving routine bloodwork, which was scheduled after my initial visit. During this visit Dr. Mitchell did a physical exam. This first exam was billed to my insurance company as a sick visit, and I was financially responsible for it, while I was misled to think that the first exam was part of a "yearly physical", which would have been covered by my insurance. No one had informed me that while I had no choice but making two appointments in order to have a yearly physical, the first exam was going to be billed in such a way that my insurance would not consider it a yearly physical exam. I called and spoke with the office manager ([redacted]?) and could not reach an agreement, as she stated 1) I was made aware that the first visit was just to meet the doctor and 2) since there are two separate visits I had to be billed separately. I conveyed that while I understand there are two visits, 1) it was their policy that I must have the first exam in order to have the "physical" subsequently (I had no choice but making a first visit), and 2) I was never informed that the first exam was going to be billed in such a way that my insurance would not count it as a yearly physical exam.I hope to 1) not be financially responsible for the first visit because I was misled, and 2) this office needs to make it very clear to their new patients that the first visit was not going to be billed under part of a physical exam to avoid future misunderstanding.Thank you for your assistance and please do not hesitate to call if you have any additional questions.Desired Settlement: not be financially responsible for the first visit
