Customer name [redacted] ***Hello. Travon here to shed some light on this situation. Our accounts to this matter are very different. I will keep my opinions of Ms. [redacted] to myself and just stick to the facts. First off Ms. [redacted] contacted me about relocating her to her new apartment which is only a few... miles away. I gave her a rough estimate over the phone based on the size of her move. She explained that there was an elevator at both locations which made me believe that it would be a relatively easy move. I gave her a quote that her move should take about 3 to 4 hrs. She agreed to my hourly rate and found that my quote was reasonable based on her items. The day of her move I sent her 2 guys. The move went along as usual and normal until about half way through. My worker called me and said that they had loaded everything that she instructed them to move for her and was at the new location but Ms. [redacted] had left the keys to her new apartment at the old apartment. They said that they had to sit and wait until she got back. About an hour after I spoke with my worker I get an email from Ms.***. She explained that her move wasn't going well because the move was taking longer than she expected. Also complaints about my driver backing up the truck and almost hitting a wall. She also said that she left a mattress cover on her bed for my guys to use but somehow ignored it. I responded to her immediately and said that I was on my way to see what I could do to fix the problem. By the time I had arrived my guys had finished completing her move and had already left. I knocked on the door and entered. Ms. [redacted] was on the porch. Being this was our first time meeting, I introduced myself and shook her hand. I immediately showed concern for why she was having such a terrible experience with my guys. Ms. [redacted] responded by saying first that my guy couldn't back up the truck very well. I replied that sometimes it can be difficult to back up a large truck in tight spots. I myself have to pull up once or twice to get it right sometimes. I also told her that we try to get as close as possible to the entrance to make things as easy as possible and for the move to go as quickly as possible. She also explained that my 2 guys had a bit of a disagreement, well how she put it " arguing " over how to do things. I explained to her that these 2 guys have only worked together a few times and I guess they didn't mesh too well . When the boss isn't around everyone wants to be the boss I guess. I addressed her complaint about her mattress covers and honestly couldn't give her a reason why they didn't use them other than " maybe they didn't notice them". I asked her if she instructed them to put them on for her and she said that she thought they would have seen them and known to just do it. I explained to her that not every client we move buys mattress covers for us to use, but we have a system in place to keep her mattress from getting dirty. Ms. [redacted] pointed out ONE box that was slightly dented in on top. Her bed wasn't put together so she asked if I would assemble it for her which I was glad to do. She talked about her having a brain injury and that she hadn't eaten all day. I expressed my condolences and said that she should eat something. I finished assembling her bed and found Ms. [redacted] on the porch again. I apologized for her having such a bad time with my guys. I offered to take off an hour of her time which was only 5 hrs to complete. Only 1 hour over the 3 to 4 hr estimate that I originally gave her. Part of that time was because she had to go back to get her keys that she left. But she agreed that that was fair and thanked me. She paid me with a credit card, said that she would write something nice on Yelp for me. I said thank you, shook her hand again then left. Not Once did Ms. [redacted] show me any damages that my guys had caused while I was there other than the 1 slightly dented box. If she had shown me any damages that my guys had caused than I would have been more than happy to compensate her. If my guys had damaged so much then why would she pay me before mentioning any damages? My guys wrapped up everything they were supposed to. The very next day after her move, Ms.***'s lawyer calls me. I'm like "huh?" Why didn't she just call me herself. Anyway her lawyer tells me that she wants a full refund for her move. I told her that I do not agree to give her a full refund until after I go and inspect the items that she's referring to which just yesterday while I was there , there wasn't any damages. I politely told her lawyer that I was currently on a job and that I wouldn't be able to come by until around 6 pm that day. I asked her lawyer what was Ms. ***s problem that she couldn't contact me directly instead of getting her lawyer involved? Her lawyer mentioned Ms. [redacted] having a brain injury. Also that she sues everyone!! The lawyer flat out said that this was 1 move that I shouldn't have done. She said that she would let Ms. [redacted] know the time that I would be available to come by. Ms. [redacted] then emails me that she shouldn't meet me alone and that she's going to contact the BBB, and basically sue me. She's written several horrible reviews about me and my company on every review site. I have not responded to any of them because I would have to speak poorly of her and flat out call her a crazy lady and a liar. She also sent false pictures of her already damaged furniture to my insurance company trying to make a claim that my company caused the damages which I know that we didn't do. All I know is that when I went over to meet with her she didn't mention or show me not 1 piece of broken or damaged furniture. Now she's sent enough pictures of items that are damaged to fill a scrapbook! I don't like to speak bad about people so I'll just say that Ms. [redacted] has some mental issues. I'm almost positive that this isn't the first time that the BBB has heard from Ms. [redacted] and I seriously doubt that it will be the last. In ending this response, I have all positive reviews on many different sites. Not 1 bad review Until now. Please check my track record for yourself. Thank you for your patience in reading this lengthy response. Travon M [redacted] M [redacted] Movers 804-920-0646
