C[redacted] to remove all old tile from the master bathroom involving the shower region. I spoke with his wife in accordance towards the total cost. I made sure to let her know all tile had to be demolished and reinstalled, this involves installing a cement board in the back of each tile that would be placed in the shower itself and the bathtub. I also helped removed the bathtub free of charge and reinstall it after the tile work was completed. I discussed with the wife a price of $1975. Once the work was completed Mr. C[redacted] expected a price of $975 which was appalling because there was a tremendous amount of work done. To get to the bottom of the payment issue we called his wife into the room and I specifically discussed with her in the presence of her husband that I had explained to her the price would be $1975 and it would be an additional $300 if she wanted to remove the plastic border at the bottom of the shower that collects water. When I reminded her of this conversation she told me I was correct and was sorry about the misunderstanding. Once again, the husband was present and the wife let him know it was her fault for this misunderstanding. As far as not contacting Mr. C[redacted] back in time, I've been very busy with other clients trying to fulfill their wishes. I contacted him on Monday, January the 3rd and we concluded that I would fix the cracks. I'm quite shocked in the manner the letter was written in, as I have worked 13 years in this business and this would be the first complaint from a client. Settlement: I will be fixing the cracks on Wednesday, January 14th because it was the day that best suited the client.
