thank you for the follow up.  the initial cost of the alternator repair was $1085.00 plus tax;our offer was at $753.81 plus tax; a savings of $331.19.Just to reiterate...failure of an alternator is a spontaneous occurrence.

I am rejecting this response because:I was told different in regards to whether or not the vehicle was test driven following the initial repairs and should have been notified if there was a safety issue concerning the operation of the vehicle. In addition, the price offered to fix this "additional" repair is definitely not generous, matter of fact, it still generously exceeds the average cost to replace an alternator for this model vehicle anywhere else.
