Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:Overall, I believe the Mitec response is not only misleading, but in several places just plain untruthful The attachments I have provided I believe substantiate that.Of course one always wants to be complete, but there may be other details you wish to know, or which were inadvertently overlooked In the event there is any further information you need, please feel free to call me at ###-###-####, or E Mail me at: [redacted] @yahoo.com.I made this Complaint, because I feel an obligation to the public to do so I have always been a consumer advocate, provide charity and pro-bono work for various poverty service organizations (Neighborhood Legal Services here in Los Angeles, the handicapped, etc.) In my nearly years on this planet, I have never been so poorly treated by a business, even threatened and intimidated because I have complained about excessive charges, and even threatened because I made this Complaint and a completely truthful Complaint to Yelp – they would sue me, even sue my attorney, if I did not take these complaints down No kidding That E Mail from Mitec is attached He even threatened my attorney with a state bar complaint against him if I did not forego this Revdex.com Complaint (Please see Attachment I have highlighted attachments for ease of reference) I’m sorry, but this business owner is a bully These complaints may not be pleasant for him, but are the consequences of the business’ conduct and, I feel, the public should be dully warned. The first disingenuous statement of the Mitec Response is right up front in the 2d paragraph of the Response The Response claims some IT companies charge up to $a month, so as to make his $per month seem reasonable That is misleading I don’t know where that figure comes from, but its not the standard fare I would refer to a review of this link of the most popular web hosting companies: http://www.webhostingbest10.com/ In short, each of the companies on this independent survey charge a few dollars per month! Bluehost: $a month, I $a month, Hostgator: $a month, Sitebuilder: $a month, Justhost: $a month, Domain.com: $per month, Websitebuilder.com: $a month, Startlogic: $a month, Fatcow: $a month, Sitey: $a month, and so on Imagine my chagrin when, after not ever billing me a hosting charge, Mitec all of the sudden wants to charge me $a month Then, I comparison shopped, and told this owner he is too high in fees He became insulting and abusive I have attached some example E mails He was dismissive – it was “chump change.” Well, I am retired, disabled and on a fixed incomeThe difference between $a month and $a month is not "chump change" to me Then, I found out they were charging me $a year ( I said $in the initial Complaint) for Domain renewal, while Ipage would charge $ I quickly figured out this was a pirate company When I presented him with this Domain renewal charge information, he became unhinged: ‘Get your domain off this my server” He insulted his competitor: “Best of luck with Ipage I bet its going to be very high quality” (see attachment) There is no need for this, he was mocking me, insulting Ipage, a very reputable company since 1998, much longer than Mitec has been in business Yet despite such unprofessional behavior, the Mitec Response states: “He incorrectly states I was abusive and insulting while he was trying to negotiate a lower priceThis is incorrect I was pleasant and cooperative ”” (Response paragraph 7) They were hardly pleasant and cooperative, but very un-business likeThe Response is untruthful to state he has returned my files I paid for web page development and I own it Mr [redacted] sent the backup file deliberately in a format - computerease type file - - which I cannot open It is such an unusual type of file, I cannot even forward it My new company, Ipage, has had their engineers send him a request for my back up files, and Mitec has ignored that request It will cost me at least $to redesign a web page, and Mitec knows this But I already paid for it and own it, and they will not surrender it in a usable, layman format I can even open I believe it is intended to cause me additional expense So, what he showed you was a self serving page where he attached it, knowing a layperson like myself could never open it Perhaps of most importance, I have proof that I never agreed to hosting fees, just domain fees In an E Mail early on, dated August 21, I specifically stated: " First, yes, go ahead and incur the costs for both domains." (emphasis added, see attachment) Clearly, I only agreed to the cost of the domains, NOT hosting costs It was incumbent on MiTec to present a written contract to memorialize these matters, and they failed to do so, the source of a lot of trouble That is just not good business practice The Mitec response is also untruthful to state: "There was no defamation." (paragraph 10) I have attached the print out of what they posted online about me: "Your web site has been suspended for non - payment," with a big cartoon character "No payee No Webee" They lampooned me, for the whole world to see on the web, and I never owed any fees in the first instance They rushed to post this, and I believe there was intent to harm me How ironic, the company I hired to clean up my internet stuff made it worse There are more details, and I could go on But this should give you the gist of how Mitec has handled this whole matter Regards, D [redacted]

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:The business's last response was to put the matter on hold to allow us time to work it out. I agreed. However, the business then stopped communicating with me, and we did not work it out. So, the business proposal to "work it out" is rejected and I would like my Complaint processed.
Regards,
D*** ***

I have been working directly with Mr. D[redacted], via Email, and am hopeful we will come to an amicable conclusion. Can we put this matter on hold, if Mr. D[redacted] agrees, and revisit next week?

Dear Revdex.com, These are very disturbing accusations and I take this very seriously. I assure you customer service is our #1 priority and we would do whatever it takes to resolve a customer complaint amicably for all involved. We have a 5 star Yelp rating, a 5 star google rating, and we take online...

reviews very seriously.  I will do my best to explain the situation, and present attachments, but if I miss anything please don't hesitate to call me at 805-643-4375 so I can clarify any questions you may have.   We are and IT company and offer monthly recurring services. One of the services we provide is web hosting. It is standard in the web hosting industry to charge either a monthly, or yearly fee, to host a website. Not all hosting companies are equal. Some charge $1.99 per month and some charge upwards of $300 a month. The determining factor in prices are: reliability, speed, uptime, managed services, bandwidth, technical support, and many other factors. We happen to charge $20 per month which puts us in the lower tier of "premium" hosting service providers which is our target market.Mr. Denoce was aware of our monthly fees at the end of 2015 (attachment #1) of $20 per month prior to choosing to do business with us.However, last month during a billing audit we found that we incorrectly did not bill him for two years.  When this was discovered Mr. Denoce was told moving forward we would begin charging the $20 as is standard and as he was aware of prior to starting his website in 2016. As a gesture of good faith we offered to waive the previous two years of invoices (approx $400) since it was our billing mistake, even though as I understand technically he did owe the money. He declined this offer and made various legal threats, and actually had a lawyer threaten us, and threaten to call the police. It was very disturbing as we have never had an issue like this before. He also incorrectly states our prices for yearly domain renewals at $100 per year in his Revdex.com complaint. It is actually $40 per year (he had two domains, his total was $80 for two), also he was aware prior to commencing business with us.  (attachment #2).He incorrectly states I refused to send his necessary back up files. The first time I was requested backup files was yesterday morning, by way of legal threat from a lawyer, and I promptly sent them at 11:16 am.  (attachment 3). He incorrectly states I was abusive and insulting while he was trying to negotiate a lower price. This is incorrect. I was pleasant and cooperative and after he said he wanted to cancel and move to anther provider I asked if he was "willing to split the difference" and pay $200 which was half of what he actually owed for the previous two years. It was a good faith offer which I had no idea would cause him to become angry.  He responded by threatening legal action.  (attachment 4) to which I did make a firm demand for payment for the partial month of September, or his website would be suspended due to non-payment.  After I was threatened legally I asked him to move his website or it would be terminated due to non-payment. (attachment 4).  Prior to his legal threats I was always calm, collected, and willing to cooperate. He then incorrectly states I defamed him by "posting on Google web site" when I gave him plenty of notice that if he did not pay September hosting either fully or partially, his website would be suspended due to non-payment which is standard in the industry. I informed his lawyer the same (I can't add any more attachments, 4 is apparently the limit here) and recommended they either transfer hosts or pay the September invoice.  When he failed to pay, after given many warnings, the website was disabled. There was no defamation. Mr. Denoce is free, and has always been free, to use whichever website hosting service he wants to host his website, we do not claim to be the cheapest but we are the best. Last night he has now defamed us on our Yelp account, which was flawless with 29 5 Star Reviews, and now we have a 1 star review from Mr. Denoce which I believe is defamatory in nature and I am seeking to get removed. Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me. Again this is very challenging as I have never experienced anything like this in my 10 years of owning Mitec Solutions. Thank you for your time, R[redacted]OwnerMitec Solutions805-643-4375
