I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
After months, numerous emails, phone calls and a complaint to the Revdex.com, the concrete has been replaced. It is sad that it took a complaint to the Revdex.com to get this done. It would have been so much easier if he had done what he said he would do months ago

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,
*** ***
*** ***, with Miter Construction, told us on Augthey would be here to fix the concrete driveway "week after next", or this week. We have just read his response to the Revdex.com that states he said he would fix the drive sometime in September We have sent *** emails asking for an exact date. The first email on Septand the last email sent on WedSept10, and we have not received a response to either email. We have told *** we want to be here when this is repaired. When they come to repair the drive we will measure the depth of the concrete. If the depth of the concrete is 4' or more, and *** *** *** re-cuts the control joints to a minimum depth of 1";removes the cracked sections approximately 5' x 14' and 3' x 3' and replaces, this resolve our complaint. If the concrete depth is less than 4" then the entire drive will need to be removed and replaced to resolve out complaint. Bottom line is *** needs to communicate with us to schedule a date and time, be here on that date and fix our driveway

Response:
[redacted] was apologetic for their unacceptable delay in responding to this problem. They met with Mr. [redacted] and me at the home on August 29. We reviewed the needed repairs and agreed to have the work complete by Sept. 30, 2014. They ([redacted]) will re-cut the control joints to a minimum depth of 1";remove a section approximately 5' x 14' and a 3' x 3' one and replace. [redacted] explained that every effort will be made to match the concrete color, but there is no guarantee of an exact match. Mr. [redacted] was agreeable to all of this.

Response:
- Yes, when I met with the Mr. [redacted] on Aug. 29, we agreed that the repair work would be done some time in September. We agreed we would try for "next week or the week after." - We scheduled for Monday, Sept. 15. - The [redacted]s then informed me that whole week would not work for them. - I re-scheduled for Mon., Sept. 22, the very first day after the week that does not work for them. - I responded to BOTH of their emails, and there is an email trail to confirm this. The Sept. 5 email I responded the same day, and the Sept. 10 email I responded the next day with a date. - Bottom line is I HAVE communicated, and I HAVE scheduled a date. We ARE working on resolving the issue in a timely manner. - My initial response to her complaint agrees to do exactly what she stated in this most recent response that she wants done, yet she said the "proposed action would not solve my complaint." - Her most recent response on 9/11 says, "If the depth of the concrete is 4" or more, and [redacted] re-cuts the control joints to a minimum depth of 1"; removes the cracked sections approximately 5' x 14' and 3' x 3', and replaces, this resolves our complaint." - My response, which she claims didn't resolve her complaint, says, "[redacted] will re-cut the control joints to a minimum depth of 1"; remove a section approximately 5' x 14' and a 3' x 3' one and replace." They say the same thing. - Regarding the 4" depth: I am not sure where she learned the 4" hard and fast minimum depth. The "standard" is really 3 1/2" - 4" and this is why. Residential concrete is poured into a 2" x 4" wood form over a gravel base. The actual measurement of the wood form is 1 1/2" x 3 1/2." The two combined (the gravel base and the 3 1/2" height of the 2" x 4" wood on its side) create a depth of 3 1/2" - 4" of solid base. Any measurement in this range is acceptable in the homebuilder industry. I do not anticipate this being an issue. - [redacted], whom Mrs. [redacted] spoke with at my concrete supply company ([redacted]), confirmed this information regarding typical residential concrete standards.
