I have forwarded a copy of the email that was sent to *** [email protected] with the complaint numberThis project was completed accurately.
In the aftermath of this project we became very confused as to who we were working forI determined a conflict of
interest was happening because we were hired by the tenant but paid by the property ownerI was advised by legal counsel to cease all communications with both parties because of the legality involved after I told *** that we worked for *** (tenant) and he adamantly claimed that we working for him because of the payment methodIf we are working for ***, we can't disclose to ***, without ***s previous authorization in written that we can disclose an issue like this in which case we believed we were working for *** (tenant).
The certified microbiology report signed by the microbiologist confirmed that a "potentially dangerous" fungi was found(noted in the email with the report that was sent and approved by tenant).
We were hired again to do additional samples of the air quality which we did completeWe have not collected payment nor attempted to collect payment for the services rendered after the initial payment was receivedWe were unable to determine quickly enough if a conflict of interest was occurring so by the advise of legal counsel was advised to cease communication because of the severity of the issue of the "potentially toxic" fungi and because the tenant was pregnant in her second trimester.
We are willing to refund the service fee of $but we are unable to refund the lab fees as they have already been paid for by this corporationThis project was done at a discounted rate within the time span of under hours from the initial request for service because Tenants pregnancyIn our opinion we were working for the tenant and had an obligation to the tenant to report the microbiologists' scientific findings and certified findings
We were very clear with *** of our concerns of the conflict of interest as our phone records can prove
We are very sorry that *** did not understand the laws and ethical behavior that is demanded in this industry.
During the last phone communication we agreed to the partial refund and were apologetic to his demise as a landlordIt was also pointed out to *** that there were other MAJOR issues with the property that we were not retained by our company and were we not paid for and as a courtesy, he was advise of its severity and possible safety hazard
This is an unjust complaint in an attempt to either get back $or to discredit the honest and fair work we doWe did our jobWe are not willing at this time to pay for ***s laboratory resultsWe have not attempted to collect the fees for the second service job we didWe have been very fair and accommodating.
MIX had no contract to remedy this property and our contractual job was completed and completed quickly and and without prejudice.

Review: MIX Home Inspections contacted to conduct residential mold test on my rental property and provide mold test result report. They came to test on 14 JAN and I was told by [redacted] (MIX Owner) I would have the test report and a receipt emailed to me on the 15th. The cost for the service call, mold test and report was $150 dollars. I paid with a credit card. My CC paid the charge on 16 JAN. I have not received a copy of the test results report from the lab nor have I received a receipt from MIX. [redacted] has verbally told me that "dangerous" mold was found on the test results and that more testing and $$ are required to remediate the mold damage. I spoke with [redacted] twice and have email from him stating he will send the report and receipt "the next day". It has been 2 weeks and I have neither from this company. My last contact with [redacted] was on 23 JAN. I have sent email, text and left phone msgs. I have had no reply from this company since 23 JAN. I am paying for a tenant to live in a hotel on the verbal word of this company that "dangerous" mold was found on the test but he will not provide me the report.Desired Settlement: I have had to hire another company to come test the house because MIX will not provide me a report or return my correspondence. I have disputed the charge on my credit card for services NOT rendered as contracted. MIX to refund/credit my credit card $150 dollars. At this point, I have no confidence in this company.

Review: I hired this company to do a inspection but the inspection report was incomplete and missed some significant issues related to functions and security of the home.

Their report even got my name wrong. I pointed out those problems and they added some back. But after multiple iterations they are still not complete.

In addition, the customer service is really bad. There is often no reply to my text, email and voice mails. When they do reply, it was a broken promise. e.g. after multiple text, they replied to me that they will call me next day to discuss the issues.

I waited the whole morning nothing happened. I sent them text, there is no reply.

At the end, I still have an incomplete report after babysitting the report a long time.Desired Settlement: The job was really half-done and gave me lots of headache. They should at least refund half of money.
