Review: A COUPLE MONTHS AGO MY MOTHER RENTED A ROLL OF DUMPSTER DELIVERED TO OUR HOUSE TO CLEAN OUT THE GARAGE AND HOUSE. WE WERE TOLD BY THE OWNERS BROTHER [redacted] TAKE ALL THE TIME YOU NEED. THERE WERE NO TIME RESTRICTIONS ON KEEPING THE DUMPSTER. [redacted] SAID, "IF WE DO END UP NEEDING A DUMPSTER, WE MY CALL YOU AND ASK IF YOUR DONE." TODAY (7/23/2013) I ARRIVED HOME AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO DUMPSTER IN THE DRIVEWAY ANYMORE. NO ONE CALLED TO LET US KNOW THAT IT WAS BEING TAKEN AWAY. WE DID NOT CALL EITHER TO LET THEM KNOW IF THEY WERE DONE. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND SPOKE TO THE OWNER [redacted]. I ASKED HIM WHY OUR DUMPSTER WAS TAKEN AWAY AND HE SAID THAT WHEN YOU PAY THE $375 ITS ONLY FOR 2 WEEKS AND THAN AFTER THAT ITS $5 A WEEK EXTRA. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT. I ALSO SAID WELL I'M MISSING ITEMS THAT WERE BY THE DUMPSTER. A JACK TO MY TRUCK AND AN OIL PAN TO MY LAWNMOWER. HE SAID WELL I DIDN'T THROW IT IN THE DUMPSTER. I TOLD HIM I WAS NEVER ACCUSING HIM AND I WAS JUST ASKING WHO PICKED IT UP AND IF THEY THOUGHT IT WAS TRASH. THERE ARE NO TRESPASSING SIGNS ON MY PROPERTY AND THERE WAS ONE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DUMPSTER. I SAID WELL I WAS JUST LETTING YOU KNOW THAT THEY ARE MISSING ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN THEY WERE THERE WHEN MY FIANCE AND I JUST LEFT THE HOUSE NOT EVEN AN HOUR BEFORE. IT WENT SILENT AND HE SAID NOTHING AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL. THAN MY FIANCE CALLED [redacted] BROTHER [redacted] ON HIS CELL PHONE. [redacted] TOLD [redacted] (MY FIANCE) ABOUT THE $5 A WEEK CHARGE. [redacted] TOLD HIM IF HE HAS TO HE WILL GO TO THE SHOP TO PICK UP OUR JACK AND OIL PAN. MIKE GOT ALL DEFENSIVE WITH [redacted] AND SAID WELL WE WERE GOING TO PICK UP THE DUMPSTER WHEN YOU QUIT SINCE YOU DIDN'T GIVE A TWO WEEKS NOTICE. [redacted] TOLD HIM THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DUMPSTER AND MY MOTHER-IN-LAW PAYING FOR IT. IT WASNT HIS MONEY THAT PAID FOR IT. ALSO YOU MIGHT WANT TO HAVE SOMEONE GO DOWN THERE AND CHECK THE TRUCKS THAT THEY HAVE PEOPLE DRIVING. ALSO THERE TRUCKS ARE VERY UNSAFE!

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Replacement

IF THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO REPLACE AND PUT ANOTHER DUMPSTER BACK ON MY PROPERTY. I WANT A REFUND OF THE $375 CASH THAT MY MOTHER PAID FOR THE DUMPSTER. MY MOTHERS PHONE NUMBER IS THE SAME AS MINE AND SAME ADDRESS HER NAME IS [redacted]. ALSO WITH THE REPLACEMENT DUMPSTER SO I CAN FINISH CLEANING OUT MY BASEMENT, I WANT A COPY OF THE REGULATIONS OF KEEPING DUMPSTERS UNDER THEIR STANDARDS.

The named consumer was unknown to our company prior to the complaint. A dumpster was placed at the complainant's address in the spring of 2013 at the request of an employee of M. J. Sauchuk, Inc. It was our understanding that the address was his property. He was given a reduced rate of $300 from $375, in which he paid with cash. Since he was an employee of the company, the agreement was made verbally, without restrictions. The actual property owner was not realized until the consumer complaint.

In late July the employee was involuntarily terminated from his employment at M. J. Sauchuk, Inc. Following his termination, an attempt was made to contact him regarding retrieval of the dumpster, without success. Upon observation, it was determined that the dumpster was 3/4 full. Considering that the dumpster had been used for an extended period of time, it was picked up for return. No other items were removed from the property.

The company feels fair and reasonable consideration was given in this case. The statements made in the Revdex.com complaint appear to in retaliation of the former employee's termination.

Correction....employee was terminated in late June, not July.

Original reply below, before the identifying info was removed. It might make more sense....

In the spring of 2013 a dumpster was placed at [redacted] CT at the request of Mr. [redacted] Mr. [redacted] a former employee of M. J. Sauchuk, Inc., was given a reduced rate of $300 from $375, in which he paid with cash. Since Mr. [redacted] was an employee of the company, the agreement was made verbally, without restrictions.

In late June Mr. [redacted] was involuntarily terminated from his employment at M.

The statements made in the Revdex.com complaint appear to be in retaliation of Mr. Ort's termination of employment.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2013/08/05) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Fist off they knew my mother was the soul property owner. They knew before this complaint was even made. I could even get my phone records if I had to, that I contacted the company. When upon I did contact them and speak with the owner he hung up on me. When [redacted] contacted [redacted] the owners brother he also hung up on him. I could get phone records for that as well. So right there the company is caught in a lie. They also never tried to contact his phone, I can pull every incoming call from when he quit till when the dumpster was picked up. So caught in a second lie! They were told from [redacted] he had to get money from his future mother in law in order to pay for it and also made a delivery time so my mother was home. Also he was not terminated. He quit due to an unsafe environment and verbal abuse. Which was also reported. I stated that we had the dumpster for a 3 months which they didn't need to state that I had it for a long period of time. As they said it was a verbal agreement that we were able to keep the dumpster for however long we wanted. Since there were no restrictions it shouldn't have been taken off my property. It shouldn't matter if [redacted] quit or not. It was still an agreement. Along with the fact that the dumpster didn't get picked up until a month after he left M. J. Sauchuk. Also I have proof as well that he quit because he filed that with unemployment. To go with saying about the missing objects that were by the dumpster. When I had asked [redacted] (the owner) about these, he first reaction was: "well we didn't through them in the dumpster". I never said they did I was just asking about them. I said ok well I am just letting you know that I am missing property. That is when he hung up on me. This matter is not resolved. They went back on their word and has told some lies that I can see. I want the $300 back if that is what they are saying we had given them, or I want another dumpster put back on my property.

Again, the company feels that its decision was fair and reasonable. The dumpster was rented at a discounted rate and kept for an extended period of time without request for written contract or receipt. The arrangements were made verbally between the (former) employee and the company, not the homeowner nor the complainant. We have no further obligation to the former employee and no further consideration will be given in this case.
