with the claim, including advice that she have her own independent appraisal carried out.On June 1st 2014, *** *** contacted us to say she had lost the first appraisal we sent herOn June 2nd a second copy of the appraisal was sent to *** *** *** later contacted me to say she wanted to bring her vehicle to a cheaper auto repair shop to have her own appraisal carried outI informed *** *** at that time that we would need a copy of that appraisal sent to us to continue with the claims processWe did not receive any second appraisal or any further written communication from *** ***On September 5th *** *** contacted NAAS to request a second appraisal to be carried out on additional damage to her vehicleDue to the length of time, months, between our appraisal and *** *** contacting NAAS, we cannot be held responsible for any additional damage that may have occurred in the interimWe informed *** *** that we would not authorizing a second appraisal nor would we be liable for any further damage to her vehicleOur initial appraisal was for $1,MJ Valet has never denied that we will cover repair costs to the vehicleWe will however not be responsible for any more than the amount on our initial appraisalWe also cannot be responsible for a failure on *** ***'s part to forward any relevant paperwork to usRegards,

In reference to complaint ID [redacted],  The company has contacted me. However, their customer service has been appalling.  This is a Valet service. They wrecked my truck.   The public needs to understand that this company is self-insured. That means if they cause damage to your auto you have to deal with the company to get your repairs covered. You will not be dealing with an insurance company (professionals).  
MJ Valet  had their appraisal service appraise the damage to my truck.   As is standardly done, they low balled the estimate.  I in turn took my truck to the repair shop of my choosing.  My appraiser found damage that was missed by 'MJ valets Appraisal Company. The cost to repair the damages that MJ Valets Appraisal Company found came back higher. I am also entitled to a replacement vehicle for the week that my truck is repaired.   MJ Valet will only write a check for the amount their appraisal service stated. In dealing with them, First MJ Valet did not return my phone calls. I made about 20.  I contacted the owner of the company and was given an email.  Every email correspondence has been as if I am dealing with thugs.  They accuse me of everything they can come up with to keep from paying for the complete restoration of my truck.  My only recourse is to accept the check that will not cover the damages in full or take them to court.

Review: MJ Valet, LLC Their Driver wreaked my truck. Very straight forward. The driver and his supervisor told me, in front of witnesses that the driver wreaked my truck. I was given contact information. I filed a claim. Had my truck inspected by their insurance company. I took it to a repair shop for an estimate. My Repair shop found more damage to my truck than I or the insurance company had found. MJ Valet refused to have their insurance company do a 2nd damage estimate. I found this out from the insurance company. I was given a number to call. I have called that number 6 times and left messages. They will not call me.Desired Settlement: I want to be compensated for the damages to my truck or have the truck repaired fully.

We will however not be responsible for any more than the amount on our initial appraisal.
