I am rejecting this response because: everyone on my line is having problems and do not want to pursue since they know that nothing will be done by MJM or Ameren.  Norm Conrad, attorney for Illinois Commerce Commission, has recommended that I retain an attorney because...

this is neglect on the part of these companies for not servicing or replacing the lines.  The several outages that have occurred have worn out my appliances.  As I have stated before, I had an electrician come out and inspect my appliances and lines and he stated he would talk to companies that it is their lines that are causing appliances to go out.

As we have tried to explain to Mrs. [redacted], the line that serves her house comes out of an MJM Electric substation that is served by Ameren, a local municipality. The claim she is refering to happened on Oct 27, 2015. Our substation was knocked out due to a kite being on the phase of Ameren's lines that serves our substation. We have tried to discuss numerous times with Mrs. [redacted] the situations that have caused blinks and/or loss of electricity, to no avail. We do plan to replace a section of line that feeds her house to see if this will help the situation, and we informed of our plan to do so. Due to weather and manpower, we have not been able to start that job as yet, but it will be started soon. We have expressed to her that we cannot guarantee that this will fix any of her problems. I would also like to mention that Mrs. [redacted] is the ONLY person on this stretch of line to call us about blinks and/or loss of power. I am attaching the letter that was sent to the [redacted]'s, from our insurance company, explaining the denial of her claim. If there is anything else we can do to explain this further, please allow us to do so.
