On 11-21-2017, [redacted] and his wife [redacted] purchased a Pontiac Vibe from MJs Auto Sales, It was priced $The vehicle had 178,miles on it and had a prior salvage title and hail damageThe ***s explained to us that the finance company would only loan them a maximum of $1800.00, and they didnt have any extra money to put towards the vehicleWe told him to drive it and and see what they thought and I would do the best I could with them on the price.Several times during examining the vehicle [redacted] mentioned he had a mechanical background and had many members of his family who did as well so he knew about carsThey drove it, came back, and we agreed on the $that [redacted] would allow themThey got their financing and purchased the vehicle and were on their wayThe vehicle was sold AS IS as noted on the bill of sale, and was also verbally stated to the ***s, when we agreed to take less than the asking price.I guess it was a couple weeks later he called and said the car had broken down on the highwayHe had it towed to his house himself, then he called and asked if we could look at it for himWe went to his home, miles away and towed the vehicle to our place of business with no chargeThe first thing my husband did was check the oil in it, and he said it was DRYNo oil [redacted] had told us that he had recently gotten the oil changed at [redacted] ***.So our first thought was maybe plug wasnt put back in correctly? We also checked the miles on the car and from the date of purchase until the day it broke down, the ***s had put approximately miles on the vehicleWe tried helping the ***s get into another vehicle by offering to sell them a cheaper vehicle at the price we paid for it which was $1000.00, (no profit for us) and even offered to let them make payments directly to us to get them in it a.s.a.pand they declinedWe also worked with [redacted] in trying to help them find another vehicle, maybe even a nicer one with us not making a profit, but their creditor would not extend their credit enough to get them in any vehicles we sent over for *** values [redacted] asked if we could tow his car back to his house so he could start working on it because he had already found and engine and he would fix it himselfWe towed it back (free of charge)The last phone call ended with how he knew things happen and it wasn't anyones fault and he would do business with us in the futureWe feel as if we did everything we could with the circumstances at hand to try to satisfy themWe have a good reputation and would like to maintain this status.Thank you, [redacted] ***

$1800.00, and they didnt have any extra money to put towards the vehicle. We told him to drive it and and see what they thought and I would do the best I could with them on the price.Several times during examining the vehicle [redacted] mentioned he had a mechanical background and had many members of his family who did as well so he knew about cars. They drove it, came back, and we agreed on the $1800.00 that [redacted] would allow them. They got their financing and purchased the vehicle and were on their way. The vehicle was sold AS IS as noted on the bill of sale, and was also verbally stated to the [redacted]s, when we agreed to take less than the asking price.I guess it was a couple weeks later he called and said the car had broken down on the highway. He had it towed to his house himself, then he called and asked if we could look at it for him. We went to his home, 7 miles away and towed the vehicle to our place of business with no charge. The first thing my husband did was check the oil in it, and he said it was DRY. No oil. [redacted] had told us that he had recently gotten the oil changed at [redacted].So our first thought was maybe plug wasnt put back in correctly?  We also checked the miles on the car and from the date of purchase until the day it broke down, the [redacted]s had put approximately 3000 miles on the vehicle. We tried helping the [redacted]s get into another vehicle by offering to sell them a cheaper vehicle at the price we paid for it which was $1000.00, (no profit for us) and even offered to let them make payments directly to us to get them in it a.s.a.p. and they declined. We also worked with [redacted] in trying to help them find another vehicle, maybe even a nicer one with us not making a profit, but their creditor would not extend their credit enough to get them in any vehicles we sent over for [redacted] values. [redacted] asked if we could tow his car back to his house so he could start working on it because he had already found and engine and he would fix it himself. We towed it back (free of charge). The last phone call ended with how he knew things happen and it wasn't anyones fault and he would do business with us in the future. We feel as if we did everything we could with the circumstances at hand to try to satisfy them. We have a good reputation and would like to maintain this status.Thank you,[redacted]
