Hello this is Tony H[redacted]. [redacted] brought his  suburban back in to me on 11-23-16,,with the holiday week end I didn't have time to look at his vehicle until 12-5 16  at that time I checked and it was in need of further repairs.  We checked on the date we did it last and the mileage...

when we did it last.  He was out of warranty by 1,600 miles and he was out on time by a couple weeks.   At that time I had my daughter-in-law ([redacted]) who works part-time for me call [redacted] and tell him he was out of warranty by 1,600 miles, I'm not worried about the time but was the mileage on a warranty claim is what makes me deny it.  Wouldn't deny on time only.  But I had [redacted] inform him that I give a good faith warranty of 12 months, 12,000 miles (unwritten warranty).  My 6 month 6,000 mile warranty is in writing on the receipt along with mileage written on the receipt.  We both have a copy of that receipt,  he has the original and I have the carbon copy.   Any tampering with the receipt would be noticed.   I offered him to repair his vehicle completely for 1/2 price which is $475.   He did bring his vehicle back in September on a wrecker, he said the transmission was broke again.  We discovered it was the rear end of the vehicle had holes in it where parts had come out, which has nothing to do with the transmission.  So he took the vehicle and was happy because we showed him where the damage was.  Then this time when it came in it had transmission problems.  While he was on the phone talking to [redacted] he kept swearing at her that he needed mf.....ng fixed and he is not going to pay or someone is going to get hurt.   [redacted] called me on the phone, I was in Indy picking up parts, she was scared and upset because he was threating Tony.   [redacted] told me she would go ahead and pay for it out of her own pocket so nobody would get hurt.   At that time I told [redacted] don't worry about it and I called [redacted] myself and told him about the altercation with [redacted] and he started going into his chant.   I told him to come get his vehicle because I wasn't going to fix it for half price now because he was too threatening with [redacted].  If he still want's it for half price I will as long as he talks like a civilized human being.  Thank-youTony H[redacted]Tony's Tranny's P.S.   If you want to talk to [redacted], you can call my phone and you can talk to her personally.

Hello this is Tony H[redacted].   His truck has been done for going on 2 weeks now.   We installed another transmission into the truck that we rebuilt again because his other transmission was completely destroyed.  I'm thinking the way it looks is from abuse or when he says he is...

pulling the trailer he is over loading the truck and transmission.  This could be a heat problem we have replaced the transmission, torque converter and we put a new transmission cooler on the truck.  Right now the truck is cooling as it good as it physically can. I as a mechanic cannot make this truck cool the transmission better than it is right now.   He says the transmission never went over 150 - that's impossible.   Because transmission fluid runs through the radiator and it actually gets heated by the radiator up to engine cooling temperature. And from what I noticed from test driving his truck.   His engine temperature was running a normal 210-220 degrees, that's normal for a Chevrolet V-8 to run at that temperature.   As I said before, his truck is finished.   He just won't come and get it.   Starting tomorrow I will test drive his truck everyday and see myself how it works until he calls me he wants to pick it up as we had already contacted him  1 1/2 weeks ago.  I did tell him that I would not warranty this transmission again because it looks like abuse or overworked by pulling too much weight behind it to me past the manufactures recommendations.  Furthermore I will call him in 2-3 days after I've driven the truck enough to where I know it is not going to have a problem if he is scared to drive it.   And if the transmission fails on me, then I will give him a refund on the transmission but not on the transmission cooler as that was already installed.   PS - we did break his mirror pulling it out of the lift, 1 1/2 weeks ago I did install a brand new mirror.  Its the only shiny part on the truck.   If he doesn't pick up the truck after I'm done with it, then we will start charging him storage on it.     Thanks,    Tony H[redacted]
