I purchased a bathroom vanity cabinet from MKB a few months agoThere were separate cabinets totaling a inch cabinetTwo of the cabinets had defects from the startWhen I called Mark about them, he said that the countertop would cover the defectsI said yes they would but that's not the pointI paid $for a bathroom vanity and it should be near perfect for that priceWhen I had contractors out to get quotes for my remodel, all three said the cabinets were made from plywood and not maple as I had ordered! This is very disturbing and I will be calling Mark back again about thisI am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this company and how they conduct business and the cabinet makers they use
I purchased a bathroom vanity cabinet from MKB a few months ago. There were 3 separate cabinets totaling a 72 inch cabinet. Two of the cabinets had defects from the start. When I called Mark about them, he said that the countertop would cover the defects. I said yes they would but that's not the point. I paid $2000 for a bathroom vanity and it should be near perfect for that price. When I had contractors out to get quotes for my remodel, all three said the cabinets were made from plywood and not maple as I had ordered! This is very disturbing and I will be calling Mark back again about this. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this company and how they conduct business and the cabinet makers they use.
We had Ron come to the house to put together an estimate on a re-tile of our shower and install new vanity tops. Ron took measurements but no pictures according to my wife. Ron provided me a quote of $11,250 and included work that was not part of our original request. My wife and I stopped in their offfice today to review the quote and he could not provide an itemized cost of the job. Trying to back into a number, most importantly I was wanting to determine the cost of materials and labor. Ron informed me that they do not provide a cost breakdown of the job. When researching online, MKB's estimate seemed to more than $8,000 than the typical re-tiling job would cost. After consulting one of my friends in the construction business (who operates over 3 hours away) I again was given a rough estimate of $2k-$3500. Feeling very skeptical and that this is in no way to conduct business (not providing an itemized cost sheet of the job, I promptly left. I would caution anyone wishing to do a rebuild, remodel or any type of construction work that they steer clear of this company.
