Here is a letter to give the MKS side of the story. We did [redacted] 's roof in Janbecause of a hail stormWe did her roof, combed her AC unit and replaced her guttersWe let her know which day we were starting her roofOn the day we started it was windy so we pulled off the job until the next day when the weather was betterWe did not notify her of the change because we figured it would be an expected thing that once we start a roof we finish it before we go to the next job. There was snow on the ground at the time of the job being done, so told her that as soon as the snow melts we would be out to clean up the nails that we could not find because they had fallen into the snowi told her to let us know when the snow melts so we could clean up the nailsEverything that was on top of the Snow was cleaned up(This is a very standard procedure for roofing in the winter.) When the snow melted on the south side there where some nails laying on her deckShe notified us and we went out that next day to clean up that area and comb out the AC unit finsAfter the snow melted or the north side we cleaned up that sideWe found a very minimal amount of nails due to using a roofers buggy and tarps during the roof replacementHowever she was not happy that we showed up to clean up the nailsThis was very confusing to us, because we had told her that is what we would be doingAt this point she told us not do to any more work without her being at homeSo we set up a time to do the gutter when she was at homechecked with her the day before the agreed date and she said it did not work that we need to set a new date which we didOn the new date notified her and the next day our gutter crew showed up to install the gutterThe gutter crew rang the doorbell but no one answered so told them to go ahead and do the gutterIt is hard to small jobs like this around in a full schedule and this was the 3rd time we had scheduled her gutter work.Somewhere in the course of the work being done it became apparent to us that she was not happy with us as a company, so to help keep her happy offered to give her a FREE system plus warranty from [redacted] the shingle manufacturer, which only certified installers can give to their customersThe warranty as a value of SWe send the info into [redacted] for them to fit out the certificate, which is usually the last thing we do with the warrantiesWe do not receive a copy of warranty or get notified by [redacted] when it gets sent to the customerWhen [redacted] contacted us and let us know that she had not received the warranty contacted [redacted] and asked them about itThey said it had been sent, but they will send it again.Could we have communicated better with her? Yes we could have.Do we have any control over the process of how [redacted] handles the warranty? No we do not.Did she have to pay for the warranty? No she did not.Why did we offer the warranty to her for free? Because we at MKS strive to keep every customer happy and we felt like this would make up for the couple nails she found on her back deck after the snow melted.is MKS Construction LLC year workmanship warranty valid without [redacted] warranty? Yes it is.Did she ever ask for info on the [redacted] warranty? NoI don't want to make it sound like we are slamming her but this whole thing would have been avoided if we would have never offered her [redacted] warrantyWhich, like stated earlier we have NO control over when they send those warranties out?Thank you,Marin

Here is a letter to give the MKS side of the story. We did [redacted]'s roof in Jan. 2015 because of a hail storm. We did her roof, combed her AC unit and replaced her gutters. We let her know which day we were starting her roof. On the day we started it was windy so we pulled off the job until the next...

day when the weather was better. We did not notify her of the change because we figured it would be an expected thing that once we start a roof we finish it before we go to the next job. There was snow on the ground at the time of the job being done, so told her that as soon as the snow melts we would be out to clean up the nails that we could not find because they had fallen into the snow. I told her to let us know when the snow melts so we could clean up the nails. Everything that was on top of the Snow was cleaned up. (This is a very standard procedure for roofing in the winter.) When the snow melted on the south side there where some nails laying on her deck. She notified us and we went out that next day to clean up that area and comb out the AC unit fins. After the snow melted or the north side we cleaned up that side. We found a very minimal amount of nails due to using a roofers buggy and tarps during the roof replacement. However she was not happy that we showed up to clean up the nails. This was very confusing to us, because we had told her that is what we would be doing. At this point she told us not do to any more work without her being at home. So we set up a time to do the gutter when she was at home. checked with her the day before the agreed date and she said it did not work that we need to set a new date which we did. On the new date notified her and the next day our gutter crew showed up to install the gutter. The gutter crew rang the doorbell but no one answered so told them to go ahead and do the gutter. It is hard to small jobs like this around in a full schedule and this was the 3rd time we had scheduled her gutter work.Somewhere in the course of the work being done it became apparent to us that she was not happy with us as a company, so to help keep her happy offered to give her a FREE system plus warranty from [redacted] the shingle manufacturer, which only certified installers can give to their customers. The warranty as a value of S250.00. We send the info into [redacted] for them to fit out the certificate, which is usually the last thing we do with the warranties. We do not receive a copy of warranty or get notified by [redacted] when it gets sent to the customer. When [redacted] contacted us and let us know that she had not received the warranty contacted [redacted] and asked them about it. They said it had been sent, but they will send it again.Could we have communicated better with her? Yes we could have.Do we have any control over the process of how [redacted] handles the warranty? No we do not.Did she have to pay for the warranty? No she did not.Why did we offer the warranty to her for free? Because we at MKS strive to keep every customer happy and we felt like this would make up for the couple nails she found on her back deck after the snow melted.is MKS Construction LLC 5 year workmanship warranty valid without [redacted] warranty? Yes it is.Did she ever ask for info on the [redacted] warranty? NoI don't want to make it sound like we are slamming her but this whole thing would have been avoided if we would have never offered her [redacted] warranty. Which, like stated earlier we have NO control over when they send those warranties out?Thank you,Marin
