Review: I dropped off my business taxes to [redacted] in early February at which time she stated that she would look through everyting to see if additional details were needed. She pointed out that she would need actual bank statements but that she had a contact at the bank from which she could procure these. I then did not hear from [redacted] for a period of time at which point, I received a lengthy letter describing all of the additional information that she would need including the bank statements. I proceeded to immediately get her the bank statements as well as answer additional questions in relation to her letter.During this time, I attempted several times to call [redacted] and left messages none of which were ever returned. I then received further correspondence from [redacted] that she now needed deposit slips. I advised her that the bank did not provide them because it is simply a duplication of what is on the bank statements that she already had. I called her again and left a message that if she needed the source of the deposit funds, that I could provide those. Again I received no contact from [redacted], in fact after dropping off the tax papers in early February I never once spoke to [redacted] again on the telephone despite repeated attempts.On March 25th I stopped at [redacted]'s office to drop off some additional information that she claimed she still needed. Her secretary proceeded to hand back the entire stack of forms that I originally dropped off and said that [redacted] would no longer work on the return. I attempted to reach her again as did my Attorney but to no avail. Her secretary stated that a certified letter would be forthcoming with an explanation but I never received it.Naturally I was left to scramble to find a CPA firm that could now finish the return on such short notice. I was able to find a highly reputable firm in [redacted] who agreed to do the return. I met with them on March 29th and dropped off the exact same information which they said was perfectly acceptable to file the return.Desired Settlement: This was one of the most highly unprofessional acts that I have ever witnessed. To make matters worse, [redacted] demanded a $1,000 retainer upfront and then only refunded $700 to me. I have no evidence that she did any work on this return as I never once received a return call from her. At this point, I simply want my additional $300 returned to me promptly.
