M&M Auto Group Reviews (10)

Revdex.com: At this time, I have not been contacted by M&M Auto Group regarding complaint ID [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

We were very sorry to hear such a complaint from one of our customers We work very hard with our staff and customers to deliver the highest level of customer service When issues such as this are brought to our attention, we listen, take action, and make efforts to change to our customer’s experience and perception of our customer service. With respect to [redacted] , we acknowledge that he did have a challenging experience recently Here are the facts: At the time of the appointment, we were short staffed due to conflicts with other appointments as well as manufacturer training for our technical staff In addition, there was a delay with parts ordering, which we take full responsibility for After we were able to fix our staffing issue and get the parts in house, we immediately repaired the vehicle. As of today, the work on [redacted] car has been completed 100% We have not charged him for any of the rental fees or work When he recently picked his car up on 6/*/he was pleased and thanked us

Seemed like a good car. When you sat and made a deal with them, they didn't follow up on their verbal agreement. People ought to know not to buy from foreigners that can hardly speak English!!

Revdex.com spoke with *** from the business and he stated that the processing fee doesn't have tie in with the payment for tax and tagsThe processing fee is a fee for the business doing paperwork for getting the car purchased by the consumerWhen a consumer submits payment for the tax and tags, the company then sends that payment to [redacted] free of charge

I have never been to this place to review their serviceHowever, for the last couple of months they have been sending out super fancy advertising in the mail to "win" stuffI did not know this until my elderly mother called me excited that she "won" a $2,gift card to [redacted] sponsored by M&M by having the matching numbers on the attached scratch-off ticketI warned her not to get too excited, we don't do business with them and do not know where they got her name and address fromI went online to see if there was more information and lo and behold, other people posting on M&M's [redacted] page inquiring how they can claim their prizesall were the same $2, [redacted] gift cards and the odds of winning (as stated on the mailing) were in 75,How interesting people in the same small town all won the same exact prize at the same exact timeThe messages on FB grew intense as people began calling them out for being scammers, myself includedI let it go and moved onToday in the mail she gets ANOTHER "winning" cardThis time it is an even fancier BATTERY lit game pieceand big surprise, it is another BIG WINNERI went on Facebook again and what a surprise, they have deleted all posts except good reviews and praiseWhat a sleazy gimmickMy mom is elderly and close to poverty lineShe was planning to buy GROCERIES with that " [redacted] ***So while this is not a review about their car dealership and service, I do want to post this as buyer beware because if a company can be so shady to send out scam advertising just to get you to come in to claim a prize you did not win, I would not want to trust them with what they are selling me or "guarantee"

Revdex.com: /> I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] When I contacted the dealership about the transfercase motor that had failed I was informed that they would fix the problem; however, that is all they did, agree I have been pressing to get the required part since tge day after I bought the vehicle I can provide the reciept for the battery, strut mount and front shocks without hesitation and appreciate their offer to reimburse me; yet, I see no mention of the transfer case motor promised to me since the beginning All documentation notating the motors failure was faxed to the dealership from [redacted] *** in [redacted] , NC I refuse to close this complaint until I recieve reimbursement for purchased parts aswell as the transfercase motor I have pressed so hard to recieve I, at this point, cannot just take their word Regards, [redacted] ***

I spoke with the company and the gentleman stated that the car was purchased "As is." They are willing to refund the consumer $for the battery, but they would need to see the receipts for the amountOnce they receive the receipts, they will refund the consumer

The service department is the absolute worst! They kept my vehicle for almost two months to fix an issue with the transmissionThe issues I experienced are as follows: I received almost NO communication about the status of my vehicle unless I was the one to contact them, and each time I called, I was given almost the same line "it should be done by the end of the week", accompanied by multiple other explanations over that time, ranging from "we had other jobs before yours" "our techs aren't showing up for work" "we don't have the parts." When I was finally able to pick up my vehicle, it had almost 1,miles more than when I first dropped it off and I found a childs hair tie and a toy in the back after they "detailed" it before giving it back to me!!! Please consider this before you use this business to purchase a vehicle or have any mechanical work here! I purchased this vehicle brand new from M & M Autogroup less than a year agoThroughout the year, I have had it serviced on schedule, but the "check engine" light would continue to turn on and off and it didn't seem to shift properlyI mentioned this each time I had the vehicle in for service, and each time I was told there was nothing wrongIn the end, the car needed an entirely new transmission and when I asked for a free oil change, I was told by the service department (almost verbatim here) that it wouldn't be fair to the dealership to provide me with a free oil change because its Chrysler's fault that the vehicle wasn't functioning properlyM & M has no problem putting their decal on the back of each vehicle, yet when something is wrong, they rescind their endorsement at their discretion I highly recommend to anyone considering dealing with this business to go elsewhere

Review: I purchased a Certified Pre-owned vehicle from M&M Auto. Being my first time, I was unaware from the start that I was being scammed into paying a higher interest rate and not putting a down payment down to make my payment higher. When I got to the insurance company agent, I was then educated on what they had gotten away with. My car was never finished being detailed and I had purchased a warranty for the Cert. pre-owned vehicle. I called several times and they ignored my calls, never returning them. I began to have brake issues and thought perhaps they needed to be replaced. I took the car to our local mechanic whom I trust. He told me that when they released the car, they did so with the wrong fluid in where the brake fluid was to go. This cost me $150.00 to bleed them and he stated it would have to be prepared to ensure my safety. I started police academy at the same time and couldn't make the calls to M&M Auto myself, so my mother began as they were closed when I returned home at night.

They began stating they would return her call and didn't. Then they said the manager was in the hospital, however he was giving messages from his hospital bed but not authorizing anything to be resolved. Three weeks passed and one more call was made and after more talk of him being in the hospital and her letting them know that she was aware the whole company didn't shut down with his absence, he stated "we didn't put brake fluid in his car." It was obvious that they had no intention of fixing this issue or honoring any warranty contract even if it had been the case. She stated that even if that had been true, fluids and such are to be checked before releasing the car when it is a Certified pre-owned and he has a warranty. This was not normal wear and tear. He ignored and persisted that it wasn't their responsibility. Not only is this a contract issue but yes, a service issue also. Not enough options to click for my complaint.Desired Settlement: Our desired out come is that he be refunded the $150.00 for the bleeding of the brakes, the car be detailed, the warranty be honored as he purchased, the master cylinder be repaired, and he receive a car to use to go back and forth to the police academy as it is being repaired as this was a problem caused or released to him by them.

Response:

The business has responded. Please see below: Dear Representative Revdex.com New York, This Response in regards to complaint I.D. # [redacted] indeed purchased a Certified Pre-owned vehicle on 12/**/2014. The interest rate was fully disclosed to [redacted] at the time of signing the retail installment contract. Of course interest rate varies depending on a consumers credit score, and Loan to Vehicle Value. If [redacted] wanted to put $1,000.00 down on this transaction any M&M representative would have completely encouraged his decision. In most cases it would have made it much easier for our financial manager to get the deal approved, saving time, and putting [redacted] in a better position of equity insuring we could assist [redacted] in the future, if, or when he decides it may be time trade this vehicle in on a newer model. Neither of these claims would be beneficial for either M&M, or [redacted]. We do perform a 172 point inspection to all Certified Preowned Vehicles. [redacted] was provided this checklist which includes but is not limited to, brake life. The brakes indeed did require replacement before [redacted] purchased the vehicle as a 2013 Certified Preowned vehicle. This would mean our Certified technician would have seen the brake fluid level and color at that time. However there is no need to flush the brake system when the brakes are replaced, if fluid levels, and color are normal, or at manufactures specification. I do have a hand written repair order from [redacted]’s Mechanic. [redacted] in Ellenville NY. The repair order states that the customer requests the brakes be inspected. Upon Inspection The above mentioned Service station wrote “all pads and rotors are almost brand new looking, no brake leaks anywhere, no air in the brake system”. The above service station then mentioned the color of the brake fluid in the master cylinder. This color being red. [redacted] stated in his complaint to his service station that “the brake pedal feels spongy”. The red fluid would only indicate to me that the master cylinder contained power steering fluid, which is red in color. Our parts department does not show record of billing out any power steering fluid for this vehicle. Our service department shows no record of brake fluid, or power steering fluid being added to this vehicle. Our service department does not show any record that for any reason would we have performed work at all on the power steering system. I am not claiming that [redacted] was incorrect in their findings. I do believe anyone could have added what they may have thought to be brake fluid, to the reservoir at any time, other than here at The M&M Auto Group. [redacted], and [redacted]’s mother were not ignored. Their phone calls were taken and handled in a professional manor. Although I was ill, I was not in the hospital calling from a bed. I was home, and knew very well the situation at hand, and indeed tried to reach both [redacted] himself, and [redacted]’s mother. I recently also tried to contact them via email. I am willing to credit [redacted] the $150.00 for future use in our service department. This only in an attempt to have [redacted]’s service records properly documented in the event of any mechanical failures in the future. This will also insure the Extended service coverage [redacted] chose to purchase at the time of sale, will cover any repairs listed under the covered components. To date I am waiting for [redacted], or his mother to return my phone calls, or respond to my email. Thank you kindly, Josh H[redacted] General Manager M&M Auto Group Inc & M&M Power Sports Inc [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Nothing could be further from the truth! When my son purchased this car, he was told not to put money down and scammed into paying a higher interest rate! He also looked up the value of the car since then and has found he could have bought a new car for what he was charged for a "certified preowned". They did not respond to any call, not one, until they were told a complaint was being filed with the DMV. My son complained of the check off list not being completed for months. This was the check off list they had to meet they standards for contract and Josh refused to help him. When the orange/red fluid had ruined the master cylinder and was found by Marv's service station, they stated they were not responsible as it was used and refused to call back or take responsibility for that as well. This was after several days of telling me that the manager was in the hospital. When I stated I was aware the business could run with him in the hospital, they stated they would not help us.We have received the car back. The car has not been painted as a result of the finished detailing they should have done. I will be having it checked to make sure the cylinder has actually been replaced as I have lost all confidence.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I bought a used car from then I have had it 6 months and it needs the hole front suspension replaced. We ran a car fax on it and they failed to tell use that it was in a accident. It had the passengers front fender ,front door and front wheel replaced . Upon further inspection I noticed the hole passenger side of the vehicle has been repainted. And the front wheel bearing is grinding and we cant take it on any long distance trips.Desired Settlement: refund or proper repairs made to the vehicle
