address to tow it in from, The vehicle was pushed into the shop and there were wires under the dash that had been cut smoothly, One of those wires was the brake switch actuator, The only way she would have been able to "maneuver" it out of park would have been to touch those wire together. That is what [redacted] did to pull it outside the shop, [redacted] called the customer to inform her that we wouldn't be able to touch her car because wires were clean cut under the dash. Under the dash around the steering column is where the GPS unit is hidden and wired. Based on wires cut around and near this area, we believed there was an attempt to remove or shutoff the GPS unit. That is an event of default under her contract. In addition, her sales person [redacted] advised us that the customer did not want that car originally so she had been trying to find things wrong with It since the day she bought it Resolution — We are not sure of the intentions of the buyer, but our position is that the clean cuts of the wires in proximity of the GPS unit represent tampering of the GPS unit. As such, we repossessed the car to protect our collateral.

I am rejecting this response because: When this initially started my vehicle was parked at my work, I was attempting to leave for lunch and my truck would not change gears from Park- I asked a coworker who is familiar with mechanics to come outside to assist me, she is a witness that there were NO WIRES hanging anywhere in the vehicle. She even provided this statement to the Austin Police Officer who took and filed a police report, because when [redacted] and M&M funding advised of the wires being cut and I had no knowledge of this, I felt that this was vandalism so M&M advised to file police report since they covered my comp and collision insurance., This needed to be investigated, For one if someone is vandalizing my property and putting my life at risk with damaging my brakes, and Secondly I do not have the knowledge or expertise to cut such wires, why would cut wires to the GPS ,I was not even late on my car payments and call the Shop to fix. So the statement that [redacted] made that sold me the car is irrelevant I complained about the size of the truck and if you look how many times and dates of when my vehicle had to be taken to the [redacted] shop for repairs well that would frustrate anyone especially with all the good things the sales team told me about this truck that was picked for me with my credit history and that's the other thing this company advised that they would help repair my credit and that in January after having my truck a year I can do a trade.... I believe this cutting of wires issue happened with the towing company [redacted]"S to tow since truck would not get out of gear.  I also feel that I was presumed guilty of this before hearing my side or looking at my account. If I simply did not want the vehicle- I would have made that decision the proper way with paper work but to have them take my car due to a misunderstanding or without looking at the facts is not right I feel that my rights have been violated- There was not any discussion of that the towing company made the error or anything everyone from  M&M funding to [redacted] are putting the blame on myself and the facts do not support the accusations. I even discussed this with the detective handling my case - Did someone find out or ask to confirm a time the wires were cut? And when I did go to get my belongings from the TOW yard where they towed my car I showed the officers the wires that were "hanging out" and those were not there when I left my truck to be towed by [redacted]'s from my apartment parking lot. I  spoke to [redacted] he is the collections manager at M&M  and he advised that if the detective finds that I did not cut the wires "he would work with me on getting my truck back and working something out" The detective hasn't followed up with me past that. I may need to seek legal assistance to see what other options are because of what someone did to get my car towed to the shop I am paying for this by having NO TRUCK, my CREDIT is damaged and other inconveniences  of stress dealing with  this. I called only to get my truck repaired from not getting out of park -and this happens. If I violated any contracts with this GPS wires and If  I did this when and what time did the GPS go off and why did they wait til I brought them my vehicle or told them it would not go out of park form them to notice my GPS wires were cut? NONE OF THIS MAKES any kind of sense.  The officer that took my report was [redacted]  CAUSE # [redacted] and the Detective is [redacted]- [redacted]  from the AUSTIN POLICE DEPARTMENT [redacted]'s Towing- [redacted] Something is not right here and if I had money to hire the best lawyers or if I could take time from my job to do my own investigating there is the TRUTH out there, I just hate that I am paying for someone else's mistake.
