Review: This company ended up charging me much more than we agreed upon and lost or broke multiple items in the move. I initially spoke to [redacted], ###-###-####, who guaranteed me a "flat rate" price after I asked if someone should come to my house to view my items being moved to give a good estimate. He said nobody needs to do that because it was a "flat rate", and I would not be charged any more. On the day of my move, after the movers loaded all of my things, this rate was changed, increasing by over $500. They said they could remove some of my items from the truck to get me a lower price. I paid the extra money, but was very upset about it, as I felt taken advantage of. The move was from [redacted]. The day they delivered my belongings, I was at a wedding, so my dad went over to my new place to let them in. When the wedding was over, I went home to notice things were missing and some furniture was broken. On the missing items list was one of my four dining room barstool chairs and a patio chair. They broke a leg off my coffee table and just propped it up. They did not reassemble my two night stands or my dresser, which I was told they disassemble and reassemble all items. They decided to ignore our calls and emails once they realized what it was about. I am very disappointed in this company!Desired Settlement: I believe they should refund us for the items destroyed and lost. They should apologize for their unprofessional communication skills (lack there of communicating at all). They should refund the money charged over the "flat rate" stated price.

I have not heard from the business still. Like I said in my complaint, they refuse to reply to our emails or phone calls ever since they heard it was for missing and damaged furniture.

Review: I used M&M Movers (also known as rockland movers) in Oct 2013 to move my household goods from New Brunswick, NJ to Atlanta, GA. Some of my stuff were missing and/or damaged after the move and I filed a claim with the firm representing M&M movers. after 3 months of follow ups they informed me that they no longer represents M&M Movers and I had to wait for them to return my documents and files the claim with a different firm which now represented M&M movers. even though I had purchased insurance through M&M movers, they settled the claim with the default coverage ($0.6/lb). after multiple calls with the claims settlement firm and M&M movers, they finally agreed to return the insurance premium ($500) along with the approved claim($68). I sent the notarized acknowledgement in May 2014 and has been following up with M&M from then to get my money back. So far twice, they told me that they already sent the check to me and that they will deposit the money to my account and has not honored any of the commitments I also had multiple issues with the firm during the move itself. I chose to use M&M movers even though they had quoted a higher rate than some of the other firms because their customer service representative[redacted]) give me a guaranteed delivery of goods on Oct **, 2012 (unfortunately I never thought to get it in writing). They even picked up my stuff a week before I moved out of my apartment to get it delivered as promised. I did not get my household stuff delivered on time and when I contacted [redacted] he told me that he no longer work for M&M and they never honor the commitments and that I will be lucky to even get my stuff back. in the end I got my stuff about 2 weeks after the committed date after multiple follow ups and excuses. they made me wait another month to see if they can find my things before allowing me to file a claim.Desired Settlement: I want my claim amount to be settled with penalties (if any) as applicable. I also want their business rated appropriately to reflect their true nature so that no one else needs to go through the same
