Review: On Oct 27 ,2013 I responded to an ad for a Acura MDX to a guy named [redacted] who said he was the owner of MMM Auto Sales . In the ad he said the car was regularly maintained at Acura Denville so there were not problems at all . He then went on to emphasize that the transmission was great and shift smooth .He told me that he has been driving the car for months so he knows its perfect .So I met with him and had my husband look at it . He kept telling me other people want the car so if I want it I need to put a deposit now so I did and the next day I came and brought him $5200 more in cash . When I met with him he then said the money is non refundable after I had given him and then scribbled on a piece of paper that the car is as is and when I come from motor vehicle he will have the actual bill of sales with specifics to the engine and transmission . I came back and he did not have anything for me he said to call him later. As I left to get on rt 80 I was accelerating but the car wouldn't move so I called my husband and he said when I get home he will look at it . I then called [redacted] and he said the car is fine give it time .On Oct 31,2013 it began doing it again and it was worst my husband was in the car and said that is the transmission drop the gear down .So the next morning I texted [redacted] he said he will meet me that night so my husband went . He said that there is nothing wrong with the transmission he will bring it to his mechanic to call him tomorrow. well I called the next day no response I texted him 5 times since that date no response . If needed I have all the text and a video recording where he admits that he guaranteed the transmission and the engine on November 5,2013 The problem is that he promised that both these parts are working and there is no problem and he mad off with my money knowing that the car had a tranny problem . Unfortunately with a tranny problem is you don't know until you either take it out or it revs with out moving .Desired Settlement: I just want a car that works or take it back and give me my money I texted this to him but he refuses to respond especially this is a long existing problem because when it does not accelerate gears 5 ,4,3 does not work hat so the transmission was almost gone when I purchased it . if it would have done that when I test drove it I would have never brought it does it on the parkway which put me and my 4 children in danger .And he said if I don't want it at tax time him will be able to get 8000 .
