Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]
I have read the response. It was told our house would be complete in 4 months and not 6 months. At one pount [redacted] stated our house needed to be completed by the 2nd week in August because he had another big job he needed to start. But as we know he overlapped our job and started another job. Our house was not completely done in October the way he said in his response. [redacted] never once said there would be an extra cost for tile work that was in our contract. Contract stated all we had to do was supply material. So as [redacted] stated about the weather, I dont recall bad weather in October and I dont recall Holidays in October and the first 3 weeks of November and I dont recall any holiday the first 3 weeks of December. My plumbing for my washer was complete after 3 months of waiting. No excuses should be made for that. Still no screens after [redacted] stated in text messages to me that screens will be installed. These text messages started December [redacted](all saved on my phone) I asked him 2-3xs and I got the same response. That they will be there by the weekend. What is he waiting for? Like he said, he was paid in full. So why did I have to wait for plumbing to be done, why do I have to wait for screens for 3 months? It may not be a big deal to him but it is to us as homeowners. We are truly sorry for the way this turned out. And we stand by what we say. We had a very very bad experience with this company and still feel they are extremely unreliable. We are still wondering if anything would have been done if we didnt contact the Revdex.com. I did discuss all the work that needed to be fixed and completed to [redacted]s worker. Lets see if and when work is completed. Thank you for your time and understandingl

Review: My new dormer was started May of 2014 and has yet to be completed. After numerous attempts to contact the General Contractor regarding screens for my front windows he has said on numerous occasions he will deliver and install the screens. This has been going on for a month and a half and NO screens. My plumbing for my washing machine has yet to be capped along with the Final Inspection..My garage was damaged by the GC and fixed to his liking and has not been the same. My brand new gutters are leaking at the seams and have yet to be fixed. My Brand new hard wood floors are starting to become loose. I was charged more money($350)for tile work that was already in my contract and then was charged an excess of $800 extra for extra plumbing work that was never ever agreed upon. As per my contract any extra work needed to be signed off by us(homeowner) which we never did. The GC and the plumber took it upon themselves to do work without conferring with us..Then the GC claims he had NO idea the plumber was doing the work. The GC, [redacted] should not be in business and has made excuses and lied on several occasions regarding all the mishaps. This GC very rarely checked on his crew. The framing crew, yes the same crew that dropped a 2x4 through my garage decided they would have a party in my driveway by drinking beers after their day was done. I can go on and on but there is way too muchThis has been the worst experience of our lifeDesired Settlement: We would like our home completed along with the final inspection and a reimbursement of the extra $1150 we paid for..

Response:

[redacted]complaint id [redacted]The following response for the complaint listed aboveThe dormer was started in May and was told it would be completed in 6 months the customer was living in dormer in October with a minor hit list to be doneThe plumber had a hard time with inspections with town and this caused final inspection to drag on and then with holidays I did ask him to get it done, that took longer then I wanted it to but at this point his inspection is done and when he went to meet inspector he installed drip valve that was needed which the [redacted] is referring to as line to be capped note [redacted] could use washer and dryer since October. The plumber supplied a hot water recirculating line which he did not discuss with me until it was done and asked me for an extra $800.00 I was not aware of this and I told him he should have told me before he did it even though it is the better way of doing the job. So I had a discussion about this with the [redacted] and he told me he was not happy about this but after we talked about it he paid for the extra work. This to me would think that it was finalized. I have no problem giving him back that money because like I told him in our conversation it was not right the plumber did it with out asking either one of us.The screens are owed 3 I did not have called window company they got them for me I was away for holidays and did not get them there now that the plumbing inspection is done I will set up final inspection town would not do until plumbing inspection was done. I will bring screens when I meet inspector which should be this week 2/*/15 The tile work extra was for two soap boxes the [redacted] wanted build into the wall which we did one in each bathroom and there was some extra design tiles installed. The [redacted] complained garage door was not working properly and had his garage guy come fix and I paid for it. The framers worked hard 3 days to get dormer done so we were not opened to weather and on last day only some of the workers had one beer before they left, which some customers offer them so they did not think they were doing something wrong, When the [redacted] told me I told the [redacted] of the framing crew that it was not the right thing to do and he agreed. The floor problem the first I heard of this was in the letter and I told [redacted] I would send over my guy who installed floor to check and he was ok with that which we talked on Friday I will have him stop by this weekI was at job and went over details and we did extra custom molding work for them and I was told by [redacted] that she loved her house I went over everything with [redacted] we shook hands and he paid me I asked if we were all good and he said yes, this was in November I told him I would get him screens which I did delay which that was my fault hopefully we can get final inspection this week and be done I been in business a long time and this was my only complaint which I think it would prove I do know what I am doing and should be in business Thank You MNK Contracting
