This locksmith came to my residence the night before Thanksgiving to make me a new key for my 2011 Mazda, which I had lost. He charged me $699 for a basic key, no key fob (I found this to be very expensive, but it was the night before Thanksgiving, so I paid him the money) and in the process of programming my key, broke my door handle off of the driver's side door. Despite staying 4 hours that night working on the car, he was unable to complete the job. He promised to return the next morning at 11am, but he did not show up and I was unable to get a hold of him by text or phone, until he finally arrived with many excuses 3 hours past the promised time. Additionally, the job did not take an hour like he said the night before; he worked on the car literally all day and late into the night, STILL programming the key (which he said was already done), and the door handle was beyond repair. To attempt to solve this, he glued a temporary door handle to my car while the correct handle was being ordered. At this time, my automatic window had stopped working properly as it had before, and he said once he put it all back together with the correct handle it would be fixed. The correct handle came in, he installed it, and now the window goes down but creeps back up and doesn't close all the way. When I confronted him about this, he tried to tell me the window was like that before he arrived on Thanksgiving, and that he didn't break it. He accused me of trying to find fault in his work, and continued to make excuses for breaking my window and handle. I asked for a refund of any sort and he started yelling at me out in front of my house telling me to give him the keys he had made back to him. Trying to diffuse the situation, I tried to accept a mere $100 credit he offered, and requested it be done before he left my residence. He refused to make the reverse transaction, and when my neighbors came out to make sure I was ok, he drove off in a hurry. Also, the day after he installed the new handle, it has broken.
