Review: I visited Mo'Tress Beauty Supply Store 2/**/2014 to purchase weaving hair that was scheduled to be installed in my hair within the next week. I spent $283.03 on what I was told was "high quality hair." In fact the representative that I was in communication with said that the hair can be used repeatedly and it does not shed frequently. I questioned the authenticity of the hair due to it's high price and was told that the hair was discounted if 2 packs of hair was purchased over the length of 20 inches. I purchased in total 3 packs of hair 18 inches, 20 inches and 22 inches. When the hair was installed on 2/**/2014 the hair looked beautiful. The hair was shiny and did not tangle however I did notice that the hair shed. The shedding wasn't significant therefore I did not report it. I was told by the representative when I purchased the hair that some customers reuse their hair for years therefore I felt a sense of security. At the end of March I noticed that the hair was shedding significantly and it appeared to be getting dry. I thought about what I was told by the representative and began brushing the hair to prevent tangles however the tangles became knots. I contacted the store the week of 4/**/2014 after trying everything in my power to restore the hair. I was told that the [redacted] was not in and to wash and condition the hair to return to its natural state. I tried this method and to no avail. I contacted the beauty supply store the following week and was rudely told to contact the company directly. I contacted the company directly and was told that the store must contact them to process a refund. I contacted the store once again and was told "I can't do nothing, you have to speak to the [redacted]." When asked about the [redacted]s whereabouts I was told "I do not know you have to call back" I then asked "when" and was told "you just have to call back, I don't know when he comes." I called several times for a number of days and was given the same "the [redacted] isn't here, you have to call back speech." I was able to go to the store myself on 4/**/2014 and the [redacted] was there. I spoke with several representatives while the [redacted] sat on the side typing on his computer. When the representatives alerted him of my concerns he scolded me saying "how do you wash your hair?" I informed the [redacted] that I have been wearing weaves for several years and I am well aware as to how to care for hair weaves. I explained to him the process that I use to wash my hair and was told "well its been 2 months, we can't do nothing. If you came in one day then we can do something but 2 months we can't do nothing." I asked him if he thought that it was okay to advertise a product and have representatives tell customers that the product can be reused for years and in fact it cannot. To which his response was "Years? (laughter) you cannot use hair for years, you maybe can reuse it 2 time, 3 time max, but not years." I explained to him what I was told, (please be advised that this conversation is being had while the [redacted] is looking at his computer not addressing me as a customer) He said No, nothing we can do. I left the store and returned asked him what his name was to which I was told [redacted]. I also inquired as to what the business name was registered to and was given a card (this too was done without eye contact, staring at a computer) and was told to take a picture of the sign that said No refunds or exchanges.Desired Settlement: I have spent over $5,000 purchasing hair at Mo Tress and was treated without dignity or respect. I understand that there are no refunds or exchanges but I would accept complimentary service of some sort as well as an apology for promoting a product with inaccurate information.
