Review: I went to the MOBIL 1 Lube Express establishment, 1359 Newfield Street in Middletown, CT., for an oil change using "highest grade" MOBIL 1 Synthetic oil and a top-quality MOBIL 1 oil filter because I drive over 100 miles per day and need extra protection and extended performance to allow me to stretch out oil changes for thousands of extra miles. The desk employee took my order and charged me the FULL price of a top quality oil change. After several months of driving and 9,000 miles later, the weather warmed up and I was able to change the oil myself, which I usually do. Upon climbing under my car, I was horrified to find out an unfamiliar oil filter on the car. Once I took the oil filter off, I saw that it was a [redacted] oil filter, probably a $2.00 oil filter, not the $12.99 oil filter that I had paid for several months earlier! I immediately called them and the person on the phone seemed nervous and told me that they probably didn't have the MOBIL 1 oil filter for my car at the time and used that one instead and told me to come down and they would "make good" on it. (now that possible damage could have been done to my car due to the extra miles with an inferior oil filter). I asked the desk attendant that if that was the case and they did not have the top-quality MOBIL 1 filter in stock, then wouldn't they have told me so that I could have went somewhere else and also if they did not have the $12.99 oil filter, then why did they still charge me for it?!! This seems like a scam they are running for people who always come in to them for their oil change and never look at the oil filter between oil changes to see what they are actually using. i.e. Use a $2.00 oil filter and charge for a $12.99 oil filter for extra cash income. They got caught with me! I did what they told me to do on the phone and I went down there to let them "make good" on it. When I pulled in, a guy ran out to my car before I could even open the driver door. He handed me a business cardwith penciled "$10 off".Desired Settlement: A FULL refund of the entire MOBIL 1 oil change (because I now question if they also used cheap oil or the actual MOBIL 1 oil that I paid for!) I will never go back to use my business card with "$10 off next oil change" penciled in on the back and will also warn everyone I know about the risk of going to this business!I am also fowarding this letter to the MOBIL 1 Corp. Customer Service Dept.

Review: I went to Mobile 1 Express for an oil change. They claimed to have done complete check of all fluids, and specifically stated that they filled my windshield washer fluid. Immediately after leaving the establishment, I attempted to use my windshield washer, only to discover that it was completely empty. The light in my car also notified me that the washer fluid was empty. Now I am not convinced that any of the work they stated to be performed was ever done, including the oil change. I am not confident in any work done by an establishment that obviously takes shortcuts in their work, especially when it comes to work done on my vehicle.

Ms Gonzalez was offered the following: 1) Return to have the services she paid for performed again including the oil change. Had she done so we would have been able to demonstrate to her that the oil and filter had been changed or 2)Receive a coupon for a future service. She declined to accept either offer.

Review: I had my oil changed on 2/1/2014, and shortly after that my oil light came on. I checked the oil and it was completely empty. I put a quart of oil in and moved the car up the driveway about 10 ft. the oil poured all over the ground. roadside assistance from the dealer said to have the car towed into the dealership. after having car towed, a rent a car for the weekend, gas, and other expenses the dealership stated and wrote up that the oil filter was tightened back on after oil change. I attempted to speak to manager kevin from mobil 1, which was just relaying messages to and from his boss, sean. I have all documentation from mobil, the dealership and documented inconsistancies from mobil trying to blow me off. after requesting a number for kevin's boss, he finally gave me the number to the shop and not sean. many messages were left and there has been no return phone call. there are other issues about how my wife was spoken to when I used the bathroom as well but I just want my money refunded.Desired Settlement: my bill from mobil was $66.97 I want this returned

Review: I had an oil change done at Mobil 1 in Middletown and the technician did not screw the oil cap on tightly which caused my engine to run out of oil. My engine seized and the manager of Mobil 1 did acknowledge the error and stated the technician would be fired and they would take care of the car. They took it to a garage and returned my vehicle stating the engine was fixed. Now my engine is making a ticking noise and my auto mechanic states it is due to damage done from the engine seizing. The manager of Mobil 1 refuses to fix the issue with my car.Desired Settlement: Replace the engine or give us the book value of the car.

The customer made a complaint regarding a problem of an oil change. The customer's vehicle was taken to an independent garage for evaluation and was repaired at no cost to the customer. The customer accepted the car and was satisfied with the repair on January 31 2014.

We have no way to ascertain what might have happened to the car since the customer picked up the vehicle back in January.

Please do nto close out this complaint. I have read the message from Mobile One and disagree. The car had additional issues with the engine which first started when they did not put the cap back on the car.
