I went to MDC Dental for a new smile after having 17 teeth surgically removed. I was told it would take 7 or 8 weeks to complete the process. I just started a new job. I had to let them know how long I would be gone. It took over 3 1/2 months to get a full top denture and a partial bottom. When I went to my final appt and seen the lower partial I almost died. It didn't even look like teeth. It was painted with acrylic, Yellow and beyond unacceptable. When I questioned it the doctor told me it looked fine. Really?! He then told me he was out of options so I could either keep them, Give them back, And go elsewhere to get the job done right. This is almost 4 months later mind you. I've never been so stressed out in my entire life. I called the dentist office the next day to ask them if they would fix the problem for me. Barb the receptionist told me no!!!! She told me to return the partial and they would refund my insurance company. Then told me the hours they would be there. I asked HOW any dentist could let something like that walk Out their door. The only response her and the dentist had was that I didn't have room for teeth on the bottom!!!! Well guess what?, I had teeth on the bottom before my surgery. Wrong answer! That was just their excuse. I then went to a new dentist and he told me that they majorly screwed up my impressions and the lab tech did a horrible job. He informed me that if you don't get a 100 percent accurate impression the teeth won't turn out. So here I sit after almost 4 months and I have no bottom teeth. I had to return to work more embarrassed than ever. The quality of the partial and how I was treated was beyond unacceptable and something needs to be done. I called my insurance company. They asked me to email pictures. Her and her boss both said " What is this?" when they seen the photos of my teeth. I said my lower partial! If only I could upload a picture for everyone to see. They are unbelievable. Now I have to go elsewhere, Take more time off of work and have my partial redone. Is this fair?? Mind you they knew how bad I struggled financially as I was told up to 8 weeks and I was off of work for almost 4 months. My surgery was June 2, 2015. I seriously feel I should be compensated in some way for the lost wages. The stress I went through was unbearable. The treatment I recieved was even worse. This is documented with my insurance company. [redacted]. They also have the pictures I sent them. I never got a I'm sorry. Or were sorry we made a mistake with your impressions, Lets start over. NOTHING! Besides you'll have to go somewhere else. What company treats their patients this way? I'm beyond hurt from this experience. And without lower teeth.
