Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated that the customer added additional items to be moved on the day of the actual move than what was agreed upon in the contract, which caused a delay in the move. He stated that according to the contract, damaged items are compensated at a rate of .60...

per pound, which the customer signed and agreed to. He stated that the contract also says that they are not responsible for damage to the walls, and that in the complaint the damage that the customers refer to is sweat on the walls, as the movers were working in 90 degree heat. He also stated that he would compensate the customer for the damaged furniture at the rate in the contract once the balance owed by the customer is settled.

Review: Brian said he would get everything loaded in 8 hours, wrapped and on his truck or trucks. It took 24 hours and 3 of his men quit on him. Brian brought a small truck and had to use many pickup truck loads to 2 storage units to get everything out of the house. The buyers walk-through was pushed back a day and our new house closing was pushed back. My wife, son and 2 neighbors had to move 8 pickup loads of possessions to my mother-in-laws garage to get our house empty. The movers left 2 60" flat screen tvs (wrapped) out in the 95 degree plus weather for over 8 hours and some rain in the driveway unprotected. The move in day had 4 more workers quit on him and Brian doing most of the work again with his pickup truck unloading the 2 storage units. His workers had damaged a leather couch, leather chair, solid mahogany head board, bed side rails, loveseat leg broken, scratched wooden floors, broken storage cabinets, walls marked and gouged to say the least. I haven't paid the 50% balance because his so called insurance company hasn't come to assess the leather and bed and wall issues. Thumbtack solutions is trying to contact Mobile Labor and Brian but they haven't any contact from him. We are waiting to get compensation for all the damages and our money back but that is looking bleak.Desired Settlement: We want our leather couch and chair replaced, bed rails and headboard repaired, wall painted and deposit returned.

Regards,

Review: I hired Mobile Labor for three hours of time ($115.00/hour), for the date of Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, to move furniture from my previous residence to my current residence. They called at 12:28 Saturday afternoon to say they would arrive a bit after 2:00 pm. They did not show up. I left voice mails at 3:30, at 4:30, and again at 5:45 to ask where they were and request an ETA. They did not show up Saturday, but billed my credit card for the full amount ($345.00). They did not contact me to offer an alternate appointment or to offer a refund. I emailed them on Monday, Oct. 28 to request a full refund. They did not return my email.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in the amount of $345.00.
