Mobile Lube Express Reviews (3)

I have decided to submit my review of my negative experience with Mobile Lube Express after using their website to submit my third email after having not received any response after waiting a week in between the first two emails I was traveling in Wisconsin from Iowa and stayed with my friend who lives in Sheboygan the weekend of June 12, 13, I knew that I was due for an oil change when I got to Wisconsin, so I asked my friend for a recommendation He told me that before he got his new car that included oil changes he went to Mobile Lube Express on Calumet, so I took my car there for a routine oil change on Sunday, June 14thWhen I pulled in, the main person made it known to everyone in the shop including the maintenance guy downstairs that they had someone from out of state The main person upstairs came to me saying that my oil gasket had a leak and that they had a additive that would temporarily seal the leak Both I knew and they knew that I had a couple of hundred miles back to Iowa, so I asked to see the leak and some more information about the issue itself The person upstairs told me it would probably be an easy change that I could do myself, but told me all about the technology of this additive they were selling meWhen I asked to see the leak the guy upstairs hesitated and within a couple of seconds the person who was downstairs came up and was asked and he said that I could not go downstairs Which I understand if it is some type of safety concern, then okay Then I was directed to look underneath the car if I wanted to see the oil leak, which I did I saw two drops on a plastic part of the underside of my front bumper I paid for the additive and left to get lunchDuring lunch my friend said that he was sorry that we went there because it was never like that before Before I took off on my drive I wanted to try and get a better look at the "leak" and all I saw was the same oil I saw at the shop, since they didn't even wipe it off After I wiped it off I would later find out that this was the only oil that I would ever see from this "leak"My drive back to Iowa was uneventful and I checked that same area for any leak once I got back and nothing Taking into consideration that the person at the shop said that the additive was only temporary I continued to monitor this each day for a couple of weeks, each time no oil On June 27th, I took my car to a local auto shop to have them look over the car When I went to pick my car up that same day there were notes on the bill that said "no leaks were found" I asked to see if I could get additional information around that and the mechanic that had done the point inspection was more than happy to show me They lifted the card up and with flashlight in had I was shown that my car did not currently have and had no signs of ever having an oil leak anywhere from looking from below or over the engine The mechanic actually said that my car was the cleanest looking four cylinder Hyundai that he was ever worked on in 40+ yearsThis issue is going on two months without resolve or satisfaction The only realistic assumption that I can make, given the facts that I have provided, is that my car never had an oil leak Why the people at this shop would say that I had a leak is up to everyone to decide why I have spent to much money and time on what was supposed to be a simple oil change

Went here for an emission test, and oil change that left me with a huge problemThey threw away or lost my oil filter relief valve and coreAs a result causing my vehicle to have no oil pressure and activating error codes over a corse of about a week before I scheduled a service appointment at my usual garageTook it to my regular shop for service to learn that this may cause premature engine wear, oil burning and engine failureMind you I only have 35k miles on the vehicle to deal with such an issue! This is a dealer part and the dealership was out of stock, they would not allow me to drive the vehicle home out of fear of more damageI immediately called and asked to talk with the manager***, a very sarcastic individual was who I gotHe basically laughed off my concern, took no responsibility for negligence and left me hang stranded at the service departmentHe was suppose to contact corporate and get back to me in minTwo hours later I contact him back, he's yet to talk with corporate to see how they can remedy the situation, and sets the phone down that I can hear them (***, and *** the guy who serviced my vehicle) laughing and talking about me calling them backCurrently I am now dealing with the District Manager, he seems to understand my frustration, but will wait and see how this situation will be resolvedAs far as ever going back to this place for a simple oil change?....Never ever again!!

I have decided to submit my review of my negative experience with Mobile Lube Express after using their website to submit my third email after having not received any response after waiting a week in between the first two emails. I was traveling in Wisconsin from Iowa and stayed with my friend who lives in Sheboygan the weekend of June 12, 13, 14. I knew that I was due for an oil change when I got to Wisconsin, so I asked my friend for a recommendation. He told me that before he got his new car that included oil changes he went to Mobile Lube Express on Calumet, so I took my car there for a routine oil change on Sunday, June 14th.
When I pulled in, the main person made it known to everyone in the shop including the maintenance guy downstairs that they had someone from out of state. The main person upstairs came to me saying that my oil gasket had a leak and that they had a additive that would temporarily seal the leak. Both I knew and they knew that I had a couple of hundred miles back to Iowa, so I asked to see the leak and some more information about the issue itself. The person upstairs told me it would probably be an easy change that I could do myself, but told me all about the technology of this additive they were selling me.
When I asked to see the leak the guy upstairs hesitated and within a couple of seconds the person who was downstairs came up and was asked and he said that I could not go downstairs. Which I understand if it is some type of safety concern, then okay. Then I was directed to look underneath the car if I wanted to see the oil leak, which I did. I saw two drops on a plastic part of the underside of my front bumper. I paid for the additive and left to get lunch.
During lunch my friend said that he was sorry that we went there because it was never like that before. Before I took off on my drive I wanted to try and get a better look at the "leak" and all I saw was the same oil I saw at the shop, since they didn't even wipe it off. After I wiped it off I would later find out that this was the only oil that I would ever see from this "leak".
My drive back to Iowa was uneventful and I checked that same area for any leak once I got back and nothing. Taking into consideration that the person at the shop said that the additive was only temporary I continued to monitor this each day for a couple of weeks, each time no oil. On June 27th, I took my car to a local auto shop to have them look over the car. When I went to pick my car up that same day there were notes on the bill that said "no leaks were found". I asked to see if I could get additional information around that and the mechanic that had done the 27 point inspection was more than happy to show me. They lifted the card up and with flashlight in had I was shown that my car did not currently have and had no signs of ever having an oil leak anywhere from looking from below or over the engine. The mechanic actually said that my car was the cleanest looking four cylinder Hyundai that he was ever worked on in 40+ years.
This issue is going on two months without resolve or satisfaction. The only realistic assumption that I can make, given the facts that I have provided, is that my car never had an oil leak. Why the people at this shop would say that I had a leak is up to everyone to decide why. I have spent to much money and time on what was supposed to be a simple oil change.
