Review: My wife brought in a Ryobi gas trimmer for repair ( carburetor kept Stalling/FLOODING OUT ). They stated it would be ready in a week. After THREE (3) weeks without a call back-that trimmer was repaired-I called them .I stated the time of 3 weeks they had the machine to the female on the phone -she stated " Oh ! That should not be -she asked me to "hold on" when she came back on the phone -she stated "You're correct-I'll put a note on it for the mechanic to look at it imediately-- in the morning"-"since he was gone for the day ". It was 2:30 in the afternoon ! I called the next morning at 9:30 am and was told " the mechanic hasn't checked it yet --because he wasn't in yet"! 2 days later, I received a call at about 3:30 pm and was told my machine was done and ready for pick up ! I didn't try the machine for several days because of rain-- when I did--the same problem --STALLING /FLOODING OUT. This was after they supposedly REBUILT the carburetor and gave the machine a tune-up, for a total cost of $91.74. I called them up and informed them of the problem and was advised to bring the machine back in so they could look at it. I was called back today and was told "the carburetor was FLOODING-it was NO GOOD --it needed a NEW carburetor and that would cost an additional $80.00. A brand NEW machine is about $160.00Desired Settlement: Put these crooks out of business for FRAUD and THEFT by DECEPTION (repair work they DON'T PERFORM ) or Theft of SERVICES (REPAIR WORK that they charge for) and don't perform.
