Very Unresponsive
Doesn’t Care About The Sellers Just Cares About The Suppliers Self and Money.

Unprofessional
This is unacceptable for the suppliers to do this. Money hungry greedy and only caring about self.
I had this suspicious company for a month and when the customers where checking out the price increased on each item. It looked like I had a scam sight and ruined my business

You replied to me - I think? and I do not understand your response? I am currently using your platform to sell your brands through your site. The brands that I am selling are then contacting MY customers through e-mail and from my sale...to solicit business to them directly at a discount. This is not ethical since it is MY customer and I spent time and money promoting their brand on MY site

Im trying to sell my items from Modalyst on my site and investing tons of money on promoting my items and brands that I am representing...Meanwhile if I sell something finally to a friend...then the brand contacts them to buy directly from them at a huge discount! Im very upset

Hi [redacted],
Thank you for your letter regarding the retailers on our platform. We understand that this may be a difficult situation for you.
We have investigated the issue, and found that your claims are without basis. When you first registered for our platform in...

October 2013, we had about 800 retailers on the platform. When you finally joined and became a paid member on the site in mid December 2013, there were just about 1300 retailers, not 2000. And while our brands are encouraged to invite their retailers to join the platform, many of our retailers have discovered us through our partnerships with wholesale industry publications and third party service providers . We also have many retailers finding us through Google search and word-of-mouth referrals, both of which are super exciting trends for our business! In fact, since January 2014, we have about 500 new retailers joining our platform each month. Indeed, the growth story has been fast and impressive.
We also want to address your concern about the low views your brand may have received. We are sorry that you experienced this. In terms of activity on the platform, we see engagement spiking in various areas. From the average time spent per visit (10+ mins) to the number of new follow relationships between retailers and designers (2000+ new follows in March 2014 alone), our retailers and designers are interacting (and transacting) more regularly. What we have observed (and strongly recommended to each of our designers via our Best Practices manual and video tutorials) is that the designers who are most proactive in using the tools and features of the platform become the most successful over time. For example, we have brands who have increased the number of new retailer relationships by nearly 30% and the overall scale of their wholesale business by more than 10%, all within their first year term on the platform.
When you joined the Modalyst community in mid-December 2013, you signed for 12 months, yet, after just 4-5 months, you concluded that our service was not useful to your brand. Because we valued your feedback as a member of our community and strive to build and grow the platform and your experience together, we offered you a several-month extension beyond your initial 12-month term. And while we are unable to offer you a refund, as is stipulated very explicitly in our designer agreement, we have made many goodwill efforts to accommodate your concerns. That said, we still welcome the opportunity to work with you to ensure that your brand gets the most out of the Modalyst experience.
Please let us know if you would like to continue building our relationship together.
Yours Sincerely,

Are you replying to me? I do not understand your response? I am currently using Modalyst and representing brands that you carry. Those brands are contacting MY customers and selling to them directly and offering a discount and giving their website. I contacted Shopify and they said this is unethical.

Review: When we signed up to Modalyst - an online platform that spouse to connect designers to retails, on December 2013, Lillian Anselmi - There sales rep told us that Modalyst have 800 retailers in there system.in the first 2 months we were registered it grew to 2000, Surprisingly, even us, Alpha Gypsy is registered as a retailer, as wellas the brands actual active buyers, which you encourage us the sign up,In order to create, using Modalyst terminology, a leverage for the other retailersto be impressed withSince then, the brands actual active buyers are register us Modalyst buyers without them even buying aware to the existing of Modalyst, or given their authorization to be subscribe as a retailer in Modalyst.which makes them, and unknown number of your retailers, not active/potential retailer to us and the other designers. If this is the way Modalyst get 800-2000 retailers, They are misleading theirdesigners/brands/clients, no wonder we got really low views on your platform.Modalyst used false information to sign my brand and other brands to their services. They keep providing false information about registered "retailers" which are not active in their poll and are not aware to their presence, based on that false information they sell small fashion brands/designers around the world memberships, A small business should invests it's money wisely, it's is very distasteful that Modalyst leads on their Clients with false information about their service providing abilities.Desired Settlement: We understand that Modalyst invested some time in uploading our brand to their system , this is way we are requiring partial refund of $350.
