In the month of December *** was schedule to take her certification test, she was ill. *** ended up taking a medical leave of absence with a Doctors note excusing her from school until the next certification test date which was Jan 16th. *** did certify and failed. Her
work was not completed properly. When *** took the leave of absence it extended her end of contract date to 2/3/2018. Any hours that are not completed by 2/3/are billed at per hour (per contract *** signed). *** had hour left after her contract expired for a total of which is due upon graduation. *** would have graduated much sooner if she would not have missed time and clocked in when she was here. During her training *** has taken three leave of absences and changed her schedule three times. So the fact that she is in jeopardy of loosing her job that is waiting for her is 100% her doing. As far as the blow dryer issue, the college is not responsible for lost/stolen or damaged items, however, we did look at the surveillance cameras and showed *** exactly where she had left her blow dryer the night before when she was claiming it was stolen. The Model College of Hair Design has gone above and beyond what our policies and contract guideline state. We would like nothing more than to have *** graduate as soon as possible Stephanie *** Model College of Hair Design ###-###-#### ext #*

The Minnesota Board of Cosmetology made a change to the way the application for a cosmetology license was to be filled outWhen we were notarizing and signing ***'s forms we were advised by the Board of Cosmetology to notarize the form on the date the student certifiedWe did exactly what
the Board told us to doIt was then sent back and said it was to be signed and notarized on the date she graduatedwe did exactly what the State advised us to do

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I contacted the Board to ask them their side of it, and they responded with, "Hello [redacted], The school was in error in the procedure regarding the notarization of your Certificate of Course Completion and my manager is/will be emailing the school to go over - again - how to ensure the certificate is properly notarized." Once again, I had to drive to Minneapolis, turn away clients, and pay an extra $150 on top of the $195 I already paid. For being a student right out of school, not having a job, and not being able to work because the paper work to get my license was filled out incorrectly on the schools part, that is a lot of money I had to spend to fix someone else's error.

I am rejecting this response because:
They did not get back to me, they did not try to resolve this with me. They held off my graduation an extra two months, made me pay $595.95 in cash for going over my contract date which was because of them. And the reason they made me pay in cash is so they don't have to pay taxes and they can pocket the money. They have been doing this to lots of students lately and lots of students have been complaining about hours being wrong
