To Whom it May Concern:This letter is a response in regards to claim ***The statement the customer provided is somewhat accurate, the flooring was installed according to manufacture guidelines, all instructions were followed, and acclimation was achievedHowever, there are a few issues
with the customer's statement; the floor was inspected by myself and apparently by a "third party inspector." I have spoken with the customer, Mr***, on many occasions since this incident and have advised him regarding this matterI did, in fact, inspect this floor and discovered that in a places the floor had shrankThis occurred many months after installation. This is a material defect, which I explained to the customer and advised her, Mrs***, to get in touch with the supplierShe agreed, and I did not hear back from the customer for over yearI spoke with Mr***, who was asking for help with the floor, I explained the situation, that the issue with the floor is a material defectAfter a lengthy conversation, the customer informed me that the supplier had offered them a store credit for the materialsI let him know that we would try and help them out with the cost of the reinstallation, however, due to the fact that we are an INSTALLATION only company, we did not provide the materials, nor warranty material defects (which is written in our contract, which the customer signed), we would not be replacing his floor free of chargeI advised him to go back to the supplier and ask for compensation for their installation cost. As for a "third party inspection" that concluded it was an install related issue, this is the first time I have been notified of this, I have not been provided a report or opportunity to rebut such reportAs previously stated, I inspected this floor myself and I have been working in this industry, for over years, with a C-contractor's license through the State of CaliforniaThis issue is a defect of the flooring material, considering the supplier has already offered a store credit for new material, issue of liability has been confirmed.Thank you,
