Signed contract for the painting cieling and walls of our Master Bedroom with an accent wall and dressing room/closetSigned contract with Prep 'n Paint July 23, Painting was to begin on Monda,Juyl 28, and was told by [redacted] *** (This is the name he uses on the Invoice/Contract but is NOT his real nameHis real last name is [redacted] I'm not sure why he doesn't use his legal last name on the business form.)that the first day would be primarally for prepand that they should finish painting the day of WedJuly 30, Monday they startedI was awakened by my daughter at 7:00Pm that evenign when she came to check on me due to being ill and in bed all dayMy daughter informed me that the painters were done and would like me to do a walk-through of the rooms and be paid the remaining balance due for the finished jobA three day job was done in ONE dayVery perplexed they did this in one dayI did get up to walk throughThere were many mistakes and mentions of the job during this walk throughIt was dicussed at that time that the accent wall for sure would need another coatI did not pay them this evening but let them know I needed to look at the job in the morning due to being ill and due to the lighting in the room at the timeI viewed the room the next morning and here's the list that I found Uneven paintView of color through the wallThe cutting in was done very, very poorlyVery uneven and thickWe can see brush marks aroung the entire cieling throught both rooms as well as around ALL windows and door trimThese areas NO LONGER have the orange peel texture we had prayed on when we built the home because of using too much paint product in these areasWe also found areas on the cieling that had the color of the walls on it due to the roller hitting the cieling when applying the wall colorThere were some areas that were completely missed and had no paint color on it AT ALLWe found that they had not taken all the electrical, light plates off and intake vents off during prep as promisedThe air intake vents are now painted on and will require a razer blade to remove themAlso as promised, when these items were to be taken off, they would have been washedIt was promised that the cieling fan would be cleanedThat also did not happenWe now have wall paint on the back side of an entertainment center left in the room that was to be covered and protectedAlso a blemish on the top surface of a CHERRYWOOD dresserMy thought is that something may have dropped on itThere is paint on the wood work and trimDoor trim, base board and moldingsThe electical heat unit and the heating vents are speckled with paintAreas that were to be repaired are NOTThe holes that they tried to correct as promised are so poorly done that it needs to be re-done correctly and restore the origal orange peel texture to that areaOn the walls itself there are many areas where the knap of the roller came off and that's where they stayed, now dried on into the wallBumps!
