My car was in an accident with heavy right front damage. He told me that he would only use OEM parts as the car was less than 2 years old. I was given a time frame of around 4 weeks. The right front wheel was into the bottom of the A-post and I was concerned that it was damaged. After 6 weeks, I went to look at the car. Some parts were there and had been painted. Asked about the A-post and was told that it was fine with no damage. Another 2 weeks pasted with no car, and he stopped returning my phone calls. My wife picked the car up a week later and drove it home. It handled so bad that she would not drive it until I looked at it. When I see the car, I notice the frame was bent, the car would not drive straight, ABS and Airbag lights were on. The following day I took it to another repair shop to determine what needed to be done to fix it. The original bill was $6,800. The new shop’s bill was over $14,000. Cale’s put body panels on the car to hide the damage A-post, a hole in the firewall, Bent cradle (holds the engine and front suspense), and damaged front clip. My favorite was the nylon cable tie that was holding the light fixture in place. The new body shop told me that it was one of the worst repair jobs they had ever seen. In the end, the car was totaled out by the insurance company. In my option, this company needs to be avoided at all cost. Overall rating would be a zero on customer service, quality of work
My daughter hit a deer early Sunday morning. The Racine sheriff dept called this towing company as they were next on the list. The car was towed, no problem with that. I flew in from North Carolina and arrived to help my daughter by early Sunday afternoon. After notifying the insurance co, I called the phone number on the business card provided by the sheriff dept. The card stated 24-hour service. There was no answer. My daughter called later and still no answer. She said it sounded like a personal cell, so we went online to see if there was anything else listed. There was a Facebook page that also listed 24-hour availability, so I called back and left a message. There was no return call. We needed to get into the car early Monday morning as there were items she needed for work. She lives in Kenosha and needs to be to work in Milwaukee by 8 a.m. So I called back at 6 a.m. Monday. There was no answer. So we drove to the business on the way to her work (7 a.m.) He had just pulled in and was in the building. I went in and said how nice it was that he was there as we needed to get into the car.
The man was the rudest person I have ever experienced in a business profession. He told me that I had bothered him by calling twice Sunday and not leaving a message and again at 6 a.m. on Monday. His "hours" were from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and "how dare I" bother him outside of those times. I told him that he advertised 24-hour service. He said that that was for tows only and that I needed to leave and come back at 8. I blew my top. It was already after 7. He was preventing us from just walking over to the car. My daughter was injured, bruised and had just gone through a horrible experience. I had not slept since the call. The "conversation" rapidly disintegrated into a shouting match. I did swear multiple times. He threatened to call the police. I invited him to do so.
No where are "office hours" listed......not on the business card, not on Facebook, and certainly not anywhere on the business building. How was I supposed to know this? He did not return my call from Sunday. A return call would have diffused an ugly confrontation.
He only let my daughter into her car as she remained level-headed and pleaded with him. He told her that I needed to remain in my car while he went with her to her wreck. He was not about to go anywhere alone with her.
I needed to get the plates off her car the next day....Tuesday. I went in. He took a copy of my driver's license and had my sign the copy for insurance purposes. He invited me to drive over to her vehicle to take off the plates. He did not offer to help, nor did I ask for any help. There was no apology for his temper of the previous day.
I have never experienced such rude behavior, especially from a business owner. Apparently, once he tows a vehicle he could care less about the people or their needs. He just wants the tow and forget about anything else. This person should never be allowed to deal with the public. The sheriff's dept should take this business off their list. I did report him to the sheriff's dept as well.
