I have to ask this
Did you come to my store to sell a gold chain or not?
If you did not come to sell why did you come here at all?
I will offer 85% of the value of the gold in the chain broken or not
I will test / retest the chain with the same gold testerReally!
I prefer only the gentleman to enter my store
My offer will be the result of the following equation
The weight of the chain in grams divided by That result multiplied by purity
Example for 14k, 14/24= = purity of 14kThat result multiplied by That result multiplied by that days gold price
ExampleIf a chain is 14k and weighs grams and gold for the day is $1,310.oo
Then11/31.1=
x 0.583=
x 0.85=
x $1,310.oo= $
and if the world and prices stay the same in a few weeks I will profit about $28.oo

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,
*** *** The statements made in the business response is not true. I have never threatened any one nor did I ever call the owners personal phone. I did request the number but did not ever call. I was never informed of a non-refundable deposit; its is not on any information provided or on the sale bill. I did call this morning and talk with the owner informing him of all the untrue statements made in their response. He said he would talk to the office manager about what she had put in the response. I was told I would receive my deposit by the end of the week. If that happens the resolution is acceptable. I just wanted the Revdex.com to know that Glass Doctor was not honest in their response

I am rejecting this response because:i don't want to sell the chain. I came in to get the value of it, not to break it. I want it replaced with same weight and k.

This is my first and only Revdex.com complaint and I have been in this business for over 20 years. I feel like I was set up. I included pictures of my GT-3000 Electronic Gold Tester and the "clamp" I used and was mentioned in the complaint. The...

"clamp" is actually a small gold plated alligator clip. This clip is not capable of harming a silk thread let alone a metal chain made of gold. I did no harm to this couples chain.

As far as feeling set up. The lady was very hard to understand but I believe I understood the following.
1) That she had purchased the chain "yesterday" at some other store and was waving the receipt at me wanting me to pay her what she paid retail.
She was very upset, she was very good at being upset as though she has been behaving like this for decades. I made here a cash offer of about 85% of the chains gold value. Now she is super upset demanding I pay her the amount on some sales receipt.

I was just about to call the police as she was acting crazy. The couple left the store and then wanted to re-enter and I used my free time to look up the number of non emergency police dispatch. I let him in and did not let her in as in if you act like that you have to leave. He said she wanted to call the police. Well I had already been considering calling the police so why don't we just do that. He saw me dialing and soon talking with police dispatch and wanted to go check on the lady. They both left the area within a minute or two of my calling the police.

I hate to say it, but I sense a scam and a scam foiled.

I am rejecting this response because: the business didn't offer anything.  He claims that it was a set up and he did no harm to the gold chain.

Review: I took a gold chain to this store to get a resale price on it. The lady put the chain on a metal clamp and it snapped right off to two pieces. I asked the owner to fix it so I can wear it again. He refused to repair the chain. instead, he wanted to buy it off of me for a very cheap price.Desired Settlement: I'm demanding a replacement for the chain.

My offer will be the result of the following equation.

The weight of the chain in grams divided by 31.1. That result multiplied by purity.

Example for 14k, 14/24= 0.583 = purity of 14k. That result multiplied by 0.85. That result multiplied by that days gold price.

Example. If a chain is 14k and weighs 11 grams and gold for the day is $1,310.oo

Then. 11/31.1= 0.354.

0.354 x 0.583= 0.20.

0.20 x 0.85= 0.175.

0.175 x $1,310.oo= $230

and if the world and prices stay the same in a few weeks I will profit about $28.oo.
