We employed Granite Concepts to install counter tops in our new construction homeWe picked counter tops based on which companies had the "jumbo" slab dimensions required to complete our counter tops without a seamAfter a month of communications, estimates, and phone calls, they came out to install the countersOn install we noticed that one of the pieces that was intended to be one piece, was in two piecesWe called to ask why there was a seam in this piece and why we had never been called to be consulted on the matterHe said that the piece had to have a seam in itWe were told that they made the decision to place the seam there because there were two walls and a refrigerator panel there and they did not want to damage our walls or cabinetsAfter explaining that, had we been contacted, the refrigerator panel could have been removed to avoid this, several more reasons for the seam were mentionedOne reason was that the dishwasher panel needed a support while the counter tops
