I have been a loyal customer of Intact Insurance for my home insurance needsRecently, my insurance premium increased by 17% over the previous yearI contacted the Broker (***) and their response was that they do not set the ratesWhen I contacted Intact Insurance, their response was that I was paying the correct rate, and that normally they would not liaison with the customer and rely on the Broker to do soBasically, they point the finger at each other and said "not my problem"I was able to find the same coverage at less than half the cost ($vs $297)Neither the Broker nor Intact Insurance were able to explain to me exactly why my insurance was costing so much more than their competitors

This company has sent me registered mail saying I owe them $for a house insurane policy I did not ask for or sign anything for
My house insurance company went out of business in January of My policy expired with around that time Intact Insurance contacted me to say they could provide me with house insurance if I wanted I asked them for information on what they provideWhen I received the info package it also came with a broken down invoice of each charge I spoke with someone asking if they could remove the hail damage coverage and the wind damage coverage Noone ever got back to me Last week of March someone called and said I owe them money I told her that I never agreed or signed for their insurance They didn't even know my house was log I just received a registered letter stating the effective date of cancellation is April XX XXXX and I owe $ I refuse to pay for something I did not ask for I hope you can help me Thank you in advance

Incredibly unhelpful, rude and condescending service from IntactCalled with a claim, waited weeks for anyone to even get out here to look at the damage, was told to get the window fixed even before the paperwork was processed and was assured it will be paid for with the rest of the claim$later, I get a cheque with my and *** *** name on itBank will not take it unless I show up with *** Rep at the teller (no, endorsement won't do)So not only my settlement cheque is useless but also my own money I spent to get the immediate issues fixed is gone since 'they don't have a relationship with *** *** and 'It's between *** and You'Best part is, just got my renewal letter- very first line says "your immediate attention is required", to me it means not next week, not later on, pay and pay nowI asked the person who handles the claim- *** *** if he sees the ever familiar "We got your money, what else do you want from us" approach here, he said he did notGreat job Intact, not only I got nothing for my damages but I also lost out of pocket money to get fixed what you said you will coverClaim number XXXXXXXXXX
